as he topic says - what was your favourite (or most memorable) moto gp race ?

i'm going to be boring and go for South Africa 2004 (?) - Rossi's first race on the Yam

proving most of the world wrong by turning the M1 from a dog into the machine it is today and finally putting all the he only wins cos he's on the best bike comments to bed

heart in the mouth stuff

closely followed by the Rossi/Gibers last corner shenanigans at Jerez (2005 ?)

cool question....I'd still say the "coolest" race was the Rossi/Biaggi middle finger incident in 01.....that was awesome....."little caesar" didn't like that one.....hahahaha

if you've seen 'faster' they spend quite a bit of time on that very subject. i was surprised just how much stick rossi got for it at the time - i thought it was hilarious

bit like when mr sheene did it to...............errrrr (aaargh - help me out ! who was it)

The next and last race this season. so rossi will win all 990 class and take care of the hondas. put em back in da trailers boys. and seeya next year. by the way remember when he told gibbers I think after qator in 04 when he said you will never win another race as long as Iam around. true to his word looks like gibbers may need to go ahead and retire. so he can sit home and watch rossi kick butt in 08 and lick his wounds.

I'd say Jerez 05..............those last laps were bloody superb, and what a fantastic way to set the season off!!

Plus my first live gp race, donny 01 or 02......cant remember...thats for sentimental reasons....plus Estoril 06.......think we all know why! Oh, Sepang 06 - coz the atmosphere at that track was unbelievable!!...........racing wasnt bad either

Bit of a difficult question really - we dont get many crap races!!!!!!!!

true - now that i've given it some thought there's loads of great races that stick in my mind.

i'm just desperate to talk about anything other than the Hayden/Pedrosa thing

what is there to roll your eyes about my favourite race?
<

i liked it because it was Toni Elias's first moto gp podium at that level and rossi gave him the chance to win.....nothing to do with the crashes at all!

I dont think Vale had a choice in it somehow

Eastern Creek 1996, the famous Doohan/Criville incident.

Brno 2003, a total scrap from start to finish.

Valencia 2006
<

Welkom 04 comes to mind as favourite..especially Vale sitting on the ground next to his bike after it was all over. This year the whole season was great. Most memorable, for all the wrong reasons, would have to be this year's horror show in spain. Seeing Melandri immobile in the gravel. Interminable never ending minutes during which I was already having visions of all the riders bearing the number 33 in the next race until good old Dr Costa let us know they were all going to be ok. Brrrr....Although must admit Vale's slides at the end of that race did cheer me up.
