Favourite Casey Stoner Moments

Stoner posing with that fish he 'caught' at the Trophy Lake at the Rhyll Trout & Bush Tucker Farm.

Casey at Silverstone 2011, just as Lil Red commented was incredible to watch, absolute dominance and frightning control of the bike in weather us Scots call "A wee bit damp."

At Silvo 2012, he was a different rider, it was clear that the hunger had gone, I think anyone else who watched would say the same.

End of an era, I was never a fan, (that may come as a surprise to some,) but his riding has been ....... awesome. Here's to the next era of MotoGP, possibly to be known by historians as the Jorgian period.

when he announced he was going to retire
<

haha just kidding, i really believe we are losing a great talent, but what can ya do, gives more room for other riders that want to be there

only thing wrong with this imo is seats are going to cheque book riders

for there ££$$€€ not because there actually the best talent

recently westy passini etc

One race no-one has mentioned is Sepang 2009 when it was wet and no-one told Stoner. Was there and it was very impressive watching him leaving the rest of the field for dead until it began to dry out, finishing over 14.5 seconds ahead of Pedrosa and over 19 seconds ahead of Rossi who had qualified in a record time in the dry the day before.

2011 Phillip Island.

Jorge had the off that took off the end of his finger.........Stoner going to the medical centre to see Lorenzo.

Been alot of respect between Lorenzo & Stoner, despite them being each others biggest/fastest competition.

That is something I'll remember.

I'll remember the first period on the Ducati,he won and then won again on circuits the Ducati never even had been fast on.

But to pick one: this weekend on Philip Island, fastest in every session, fastest qualifyinglap, fastest in every section of it,fastest racelap and victory-with an injury!

Part of reason of the domination there is because of his stearing with the realwheel especially in Stonercorner as I understand.Fun to watch, and effective.Brilliant!

Apparently Stoner was telling Dani the secret to "Stoners corner" but only after the PI race. Dani was looking at Stoners telemetry trying to work out how he did as, other riders were wondering as well.

As I've stated the times I've watched Stoner at the track and the squillions of photos I took (I posted there here in 08 to 10) his rear wheel steering was awesome

That is just the impression we got at Silvo, hell even me an Rog didn't take the piss out of him for about 5 minutes!

More critically, his skill seems to be using the rear tyre a lot to steer the bike but not wrecking it before the end of the race.

I wish I was there to see it live like you.

Maybe Pedrosa will try something in the testing at Valencia? There are some corners there where I've seen Stoner slide alot, and according to himself in interviews didn't loose time doing it.
