Favourite Casey Stoner Moments

assen 2013. come on guys, you all know its the right thing to do

I thought we were doing La-guna!?

Fark me just how much cash do you students get these days!!!
<

most def, its just that assen would always be possible since its not that far from me
<
can always drive up there.

i run a company that exports used cars from britain to poland, pays off enough for a gp weekend or two.

My memory of PI is standing against a wheelie bin using it as a shield to block the horizontal rain whilst cowering under a poncho, hands shaking with cold trying to smoke a joint without anybody noticing at 9am waiting for the action to start.

Reminds me of offending a couple in the Silvo campsite by drinking cider at ten to 8 in the morning. Same couple I offended by emptying a pint glass of piss repeatedly out of my tent door a few days later........

They were offended by you drinking a pint of piss and pouring out good cider. That's what happens when you get out of synch

Favourite moments:

1. When he quit. At least this time he saw out the season before going fishing.

2. That he never had the consistency to defend a single championship. He breaks almost as easily as Pedrosa and if someone puts some milk in front of him, he pisses his pants.

3. That he couldn't win back to back championships with different manufacturers.

4. That even mighty Mick performed better than him on the Honda.

5. That he was given a lesson by his teammate this year.

6. When he started crying after every loss.

7. Laguna Seca 2008.

8. When his daughter secretly conspired against him and became the ultimate bopper by refusing to be born until it was the same birthday as one Valentino Rossi.

9. When he became the biggest hypocrite of all by trying to punch De Puniet off the track. I think the lack of milk had weakened him though.

10. That his fans have now had their pants pulled down as they are left with nothing to look forward to. So many crying boners, it's hilarious.

Thank you for the memories Casey.

His greatest talent, exceeding even his talent for winning races at PI, would seem to be the one he has for constantly annoying his detractors, which seems to be directly proportional to the degree of dislike they have for him.

Fair cop given the other thread perhaps, and I see you have an obvious outlier, not even being as good as mick doohan on a honda not being the most trenchant of criticisms.

It's not only the talent to annoy his detractors he possesses, he holds the wondrous and magical ability to suck any wit or cleverness out of their written attempts, too.

Woody, thank God some more boppers have come out, I was going to abandon Casey for a while just to get a fight going.

There is this episode of the Simpsons where the parents complain about the violence in the itchy and scratchy cartoon and they become all congenial and nice, offering each other lemonade and stuff. I am so glad there are Rossi fans left with a bit of fire in them.

This site is going far too one sided the other way from yellow to lactose intolerance. I had to do something before the site is renamed www.scotty.com

I haven't seen people such as Talpa for a while and Goatboy/Basspete seem to be flying the flag on their own.

For all the ..... that is posted about boppers, the boners are seemingly getting much worse these days, only after this weekend they have nothing to bone. It's so upsetting that even I might cry. Nope can't do it. I will have a few drinks and reflect however...

Next year all the Boners will scatter to the wind, I'll be for Jorge, Hayden fans will regroup around their damaged idol, Pedrosa might get a supporter, Crutchlow will win big for the anglophiles. VR will need a new enemy, probably back to gorgeous George, it will be a time of yellow healing. You can all sing we are the world.

I like Crutchlow's crazy eyes.

A also make the point the Honda has Pedrosa who has little personality, he doesn't even get the ..... sort of like Beaker from the Muppet's and they are going to get Marquez who is having fan base issues outside his native Spain.

Honda wont have a global fan base so much.

Woody's point is well made.

Stoner is obviously a major talent and his race wins and championships deserve credit on his retirement, particularly those on the ducati. 2 premier class championships whatever the circumstances are not to be sneered at in any event. I hope he thanks a few people as well if he makes any further announcements on his retirement though.

Even I think he underachieved this year though. He has again demonstrated his talent, quite graphically as recently as the other week at PI, but jorge won the championship and dani has beaten him in it. Misfortune was obviously involved with his eventual crash strongly contributed to by a track surface he had rightly criticised, but he had already mostly lost his chance at a championship which he could have been right in with a little more patience and focus, as the honda has definitely been very competitive, persisting chatter or not, for the second half of the season, although I guess we may imminently see how much jorge was holding back. AS j4rno has said the amount of focus required to ride like stoner shouldn't be underestimated though, probably a major part of him retiring early.

It was not too many yamaha rides ago when rossi won a race either, so Tuesday will be interesting as well, I expect him to be fast immediately.

When he clocks a good time, will he break out the Bye Bye Ducati/I'm Back, Baby t-shirts?

Or will he and his posse be wearing them straight after Sunday's race?

I have to say I disagree with this. He won convincingly at Laguna, then was fastest in practice sessions at Indy before the accident. He was not that far behind Jorge in points at this time. The only race Pedrosa had won up until this point was Germany when Casey fell. I still thought it was Casey's championship up untill Indy, and then we all saw how good the Honda had become. It was Casey's championship to lose, and he lost it fair and square, but there was no way that he was out of it before Indy.

I am well known to be an out and out stoner fan, and was on here all during the lean years as well.

My main point is that jorge deserves all credit, he has ridden perfectly this year as he did in 2010, and stoner getting injured is not his problem as was also the case with rossi in 2010. Dani also did well to finally have an injury-free year and win 6 races (thus far). Stoner's dnf followed by the 8th or whatever on a week-end when he really did seem to lose focus left him a long way behind someone who doesn't make mistakes like jorge, and even before indy he would have been relying on dani taking points away from jorge while not beating him, which dani had already done more than once. Same as 2008 after laguna seca, regardless of the scaphoid, random front end loses or whatever else he basically needed to win 6 of the last 7 races or rely on mishap to valentino to win the way valentino was riding. I do think he got annoyed by the late tyre and weight changes and gave too much of his attention to this early season rather than waiting for honda to fix things, which they seem to have managed, possibly with an element of the riders adjusting to the chatter etc as well.
