I think qualifying was quite pathetic, a bunch of cars running just to burn fuel and make the car lighter in order to do just one fast lap. And don't get me started with the pitlane traffic jam in the first stint of qualy.

Nothing to do with your man being 4th then Teo

True it was a bit confusing at times, even Ralf Schumacher who was knocked out in the first phase, when arriving back into his gargage he was instructing his engineers to make vital changes to his car, only for them to politly inform him that he was out.

No, I was already pissed off after the first stint despite Alonso being fastest.

Anyways, the result was good. We kicked some old geezer ...!

ALONSO #1
<

Congrats to Alonso,

Some very close racing, and what a great debut for Rosberg, a chip off the old man Id say.

quite an entertaining race, the best moment was when alonso came out metres ahead of schu after the second pitstop.

great drive from raikkonen as well. as usual.

I think the F1 brigade have been watching bike racing, I mean there was overtaking and everything!! (although I think the track layout had something to do with it).

It was a good race, shame schumy couldnt pull some speed out on the last few laps.

Great debut from Rosberg....that was a great drive!

Welcome to the site mate

Agreed, Kimi had a really good race...20>>>3 is really good (and I hate the guy too
<
- he has no character).

The guy is very shy. He has a very different character when he speaks in private according to other members of the McLaren team.

A mate of mine works for the MacLaren Garage...hence the new paint Job.

And ur right Teo, Kimi is described as shy but with no personality, whereas Montoya is outgoing and has no problems sitting in the staff canteen and mixing it with the little ppl of the corperation as it were.

Actually Kimi has some good moments, according to De la Rosa (Mclaren test driver and commentator for the Spanish TV) last year in Monaco when Kimi had been pushing hard from the start his race engineer told him on the radio "Kimi now is the time to push!" and Kimi replied "What the hell you think I've been doing for the last hour, shut up!!!"
<

It would be cool if radio was allowed in MotoGP, it would be fun to know what the riders say.
<

That would be cool heh..

Did anyone recall Fisichella coming out of the pits and the team could be heard asking how the car was now or somthing ...

With Fisi replying, this car is Fvkkin ..... or words to that effect before the commentry team hastily butting in hehe
<

haha yeah dazza that was proper funny! this is se... fing se he kept saying. it was gonna happen with those radios sooner or later though. makes ya wonder what else they say when it aint transmitting!

decent race though. kimi did well.. gotta wonder though if he's gonna be frustrated by the car again though. alonso did well as did rosberg.. v impressive debut!

i think they tried that here in the ama once but the rider, i can't remember who that would've been, said it was very dificult to hear & very disstracting.

Yeah especially if the team throw on an ACDC track or somthing ....might make some of the feild go a bit faster heh..

IIRC King Kenny tried it last year but was banned mid season by the FIM, said it was unsafe. I think it's as unsafe as looking at the your pit board instead of looking ahead.

It was Miguel Duhamel. It was scrapped because there was very little point. Because of the fact there is so little information being transmitted back and forth, Miguel found his team asking too many questions, I remember one distinctly as "what did you have for breakfast today?"

now that's important stuff!

It'd be nice if the riders could talk though, just to hear what theyre saying, not their crews. Like, I would have loved to hear Rossi saying "Oh ...." in his Italian accent at Motegi (Or the romantic words he was whispering to Marco while he nursed him in the kitty litter
<
), or Sete saying "What the Fk??" At Jerez, Hayden singing yokel songs to himself at Laguna, ect.
Imagine hearing KRJR saying "Crap, I hope dad didn't see that!" right after he crashes sometime this year.
