The cashing in of the situation and calling it a witch hunt is not good.
The guys on the grid who did complain about Marco's wild riding are not thinking:
"oh we should not have said anything about Marco because it hurt his feelings"
because they complain folk jump to the conclusion that they are just scared for themselves when an erratic rider is on track, but unfortunately we have seen that the rider can themselves be hurt. It was hard to foresee this with Simo as he was such a big tough looking fellow ( invincible as Dovi put it ).
Right about now those riders who complained are not likely thinking they they wish they did not hurt Marco's feelings, they are probably lamenting that they did not complain more. Regardless of the penalties/bad feeling etc. a Marco who was still here would have been a better Marco for all, not one of the riders would now deny that. But all must accept that retrospect is a luxury that none achieve.
If Toby did call it a which hunt he needs to have a good long think. I'm not impressed with such ignorant talk.
In the end it would have been better to stick to the condolences only.
Perhaps a better focus for those left behind.
Think of Kate Fretti, How her possible dreams and life plans have been abruptly changed and the hurt she must have gone through.
Beautiful young girl who obviously spent some good times with Marco and was likely very attached to him, probably the closest person of all to him. She seemed very left alone on the day, but that's how everyone was affected by shock I would think ..... it must have been hardest of all for her .......
I just hope she got the assistance she would have needed on the day and after the event, and that she will need into the future.
Think of the parents,
Think of Rossi and Edwards, they must be going through the worst of times.
No online witch hunts, or point scoring, or blaming ( especially as a few months later all have had a chance to think about it more rationally )
Just condolence and consolation for those left behind would be best.
