<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Elias Number 1 Fan @ Oct 15 2006, 07:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Last post.
Its not a case of agreeing or disagreeing, I'm a member of most political forums known to man, I've spent the past three years of my time on the internet in internet debates.
1) Everybody jumps on my back over every single comment I make, I do not remember the last time anybody publically agreed with anything I said. That does get fairly frustrating.
2) People refuse to actually read my posts, which makes debating extremely redundant. You could achieve the same effect by debating against yourself and using a hand-puppet to mime whatever you think I would say.
3) If I say something, anything, I'd put a fiver on someone taking it and twisting it round until its far from anything I ever said.
4) And the twenty or so people who spent their entire afternoon repeating each other or backslapping each other every time someone makes any point against me really pissed me off. Therefore, I will come back after Valencia, give me time to calm down.
Bye.
I agree, there ya go

Do you know the funnest thing.. I really believed it would have been Colin to T-bone Hayden not his team mate!!!
<

1. Terrible race for the dukes really..... loris finnished 12th behind hoffman whom rode a d'antin duke..WTF?!?!?! after a good start he started to go down the order... remember that melangri gained on him in a lap allmost 6 sec??!?!?!?
Terrible bad luck for sete...a real bad season for him..
I would like the dukes to get the 800cc bike in valencia should be intresting if they will do that...

2.Ride of the day goes to TONY ELIAS... he will get a contract after such a race....SUPERB rode " like a
<
" like rossi said.

3. Rossi is for the first time on the top of the table this season...one more race to go and he has a 8 ponts lead...

3. Huh... everyone is dashing dani now.... how nice is that... huge mistake but a mistake non the less, he did not intend to crash and most important he did not want to take out his teammate hayden. Bad luck for hayden, bad luck for pedrosa. Also called RACING....
Now... chill all out ... the catalunya crash where Capirossi was taken out by sete... had also a huge importance on the season... and he was took out by who? by his own teammate and we all called a racing inccident,
same went for the elias mistake when he took rossi in jerez... racing... bad luck... and the list is way longer...so please look at the season and check where woul it be if those bad lucks would not happen... would hayden still be up there? it's racing not f1 where the team orders rulzzz...
EVERYONE makes mistakes ... rossi, capirossi melandri, dani, stoner, kenny roberts, sete, everyone... hmm even hayden does... he was soo lucky this season and when the bad luck strike on him everyone cryes out loud for him...,
There is a tear in my eye and that's not for hayden but for dani... i would not want to be in it's shoes now... and neither next season if hayden doesn't win this season...

P.S. I'm not defeanding dani... i'm just saying that everyone is too harsh with him right now... just because he was hayden's team mate... so what ..? he crashed and took hayden with him... bad luck and a stupid move from dani... bad luck for hayden ... it's racing

So it's acctually better from my point of view, now we will see if hayden has what it takes to be a champion... he will have to attack, to beat rossi on track...if he can my hat will go out to him and no one will ever consider he won't deserve the championship.. if not.. my opinion is that rossi will win it, not that dani lost it for hayden....

Nice post Capi
<

You are right though..........Nicky has to come out like a tazmania devil in valencia, can that race beat Estoril for entertainment?

Its a shame that todays race will be remembered for Dani's mistake, over Elias' storming win....................where has he been hiding all season and whats changed at Estoril!!!!!!!??

<span style="font-size:36pt;line-height:100%0.002 sec's

i was wrong in an earler post when i said hayden didnt try and re-join the race.
well ive just seen the re-run and most sertenly did try so sorry to hayden..
glad we get re runs some time so we can watch again with a clearer head. think i must have been shouting at the tv so much i missed some of it.

Estoril is Toni's fav cirucuit the last race he won was at Estoril too, 2 years ago in the 250cc category, IIRC he slided the 250cc like an SBK, brilliant stuff.

CApirex, nice friendly warm post as usual, but how do you dare to say that Rossi... makes mistakes?

<

When Rossi invites someone to the gravel is racing. When anyone else clips Rossi, that one is a basd, a crp rider and his mother won't speak to him anymore.

I mean really, do you want droves of Rossinatics commit suicide in protest and in the name of their only and true god?

"When Rossi invites someone to the gravel is racing. When anyone else clips Rossi, that one is a basd, a crp rider and his mother won't speak to him anymore." That was elias in jerez and is now dani pdrosa for hayden's orange army of fans...

Dani is only human just like us,so no need to be that harsh on him. I am guessing it was all in the heat of the moment. Now people seem to slowly change their mind. Guys don't forget with this race dani had a chnace of winning the title as well so no reason for him to just stay behind hayden. I just read on the motogp website that Hayden is ok and he wants dani to help him in the next race. I am sure Colin will be there for Rossi.

My $0.02

Edwards do a bad job? No way, he was a big part of the whole Hayden Pedrosa incident. They both felt the pressure. That led to haydens ugly pasing of pedrosa, he had a huge two wheel slide not only pushing pedrosa off the line, but moving off the line himself and allmost pushing pedrosa off the track. That was an out of control move not called for in that situation as Pedrosa was fast enough to stay with Edwards and Rossi but he was lucky in his passing, pedrosa was not. Hayden threw the glow, Pedrosa picks it up and it all went very ugly.
Was that all? of course not. Hondas No Team Orders Here Policy obviously extends to their factory team, making no plans, no strategy talks no nothing, just a very fast rookie and a not so fast championship leader. That is the true disaster in this whole sad incident. No wonder the one that can beat them on lesser equipment got out of that mess, and no wonder that was what Hayden was talking about after the race. He was very right.

All riders should allways go 100%?
Jeeezzz, anyone saying that can't possibly been on a track with a motorbike. A very few people can go 100% for a few laps, no one can do so in a whole race, maybe with the exception of TONI ELIAS but that was probably also a one of a kind that he can't hope to repeat. Actually, listening to him in the post race interview he allready knew that. Non the less fantastic performance.

Pedrosa did a monumental misake and screw it up big time, no doubt about that. As many said before me, you have to respect your team and team-mates and even your competitors, Pedrosa didn't, not because he did a mistake, but because he couldn't keep cool when he had to.
Look at KRJR and what he said in the post race talks: I had to be carefull, I sure wouldn't be the one to take out Rossi or Elias.
True, he did a mistake earlier in the season and he saw what hapened to Hayden, non the less...

All that said:
I feel equaly sorry for both of them.
Pedrosa will have to carry that guilt and burden for the rest of his career
Hayden will most probably loose his championship because of this even if it allready was in a thin tread. At least he now has a good excuse.
Hopefully Pedrosa can come out as a better, wiser rider, and Hayden will find some more fighting spirit and speed next year. Not that he was in lack of fighting spirit today but how much have we seen of that from him since he entered GP?

I don't know if Rossi is the best ever, but he surly must have the best fighting sprit ever. The way he risk his championship fighting back at the devil him self (Elias) and the way he cheer the winner (the one that knocked him off in the beginning of the season) after what he consider a great fight rather than a narrow loss is part of what I like best about him: He is having fun out there[period]

okay ... here I go ..... its taken me a good half hour to read all these posts!

firstly ... what a race! ... its been said enough times, but really... best race i've seen i think. After the Hayden/Pedders incident i told my brother to change the channel... i didn't want to watch the rest of the race.
<
5 seconds later, the television was back on the MGP ... and i swear im so glad i watched the end!

Vermeulen had a good run on yet another unseen track, was ahead over Hopper for the majority of the race until he over shot a corner which relagated him to ninth.

nice to see Ilmor out there. obviously came last, but you can't expect much from an 800cc against a 990cc... and despite that they hung in there, amid 2 or 3 pit stops, to claim a point. good work Ilmor and Mccoy... their persistence shows that they are seeeeeeeeeerious.

Listen to yourself! What did Dani do wrong? He misjudged a corner! Remember when Rossi did that to Melandri last year? Remember when Lorenzo did it to Locatelli? Remember when KRJR did it to Tamada? These things happen, thats racing for crying out loud!

Actually, Lorenzo did get fined for his stupid manoureve that anihilated De Angelis at Motegi last year ... its all the same concept, and Lorenzo got a one race ban.

stoner would have, & did to sete!

stoner didn't take out Sete! Crashey lost his front and skidded across in front of him. Sete just tried to motocross jump him, and got taken out in the process.

You seriously think Dani saw Nicky ahead of him and thought "Lets ram him and see what happens"?
<

Isrealiracer I respect your opinion but Dani's move was just pathetic. He wasn't even close, Dani's a former world champion and overtaking manuvers like that, on your team mate, when he's fighting for the championship, on the penultimate race are just unforgivable. On his team mate aswell!
completely agree!

Pedrosa better have hired some good body guards!
<

team orders or no team orders, a rider should ride with his head, not for his own ego.
i agree mari ... but i dont think as much of the ego. dani doesn't have a big head about anything, so his ego doesn't really shine through. His head would've been quite helpful there.

Elías did a brilliant job, he was riding like if it was a Supermoto race sliding in every corner, I've said before this guy would come good in the 2nd part of the season, it's taken him more time than that to get a set up that works for him, but the last race (6th) already proved he's getting there.
helll yer.... what a brilliant performance from Elias, i could see this in him. You could see he was quite confident in his ability at the circuit. And, you're right teo .... riding the blerry Honda like a motard! ... the commentators kept sayin that he'd been riding motocross on his farm in Spain, and blah, blah, blah... and his dad is a motocross champ. isn't he?
anyways ... now nolan should hire elias for a photoshoot ... aye Teo?
<

did anyone see rossi's reaction when elias first overtook him at the end of the straight? .... he lookedover his shoulder as if to say " where the .... did HE come from?" PRICELESS

did u all notice puigs reaction! pricless!
<
... yup, the .... JUST hit the fan.

I need to see this again!
<
thats what i said to myself, switched over the channels and watched the race again. (Richo seriously man, channel Ten is ....... Beattie makes ya fall asleep. buy foxtel)

one thing that supprised me was nicky didnt even try to get back on and re join the race, mabe he wouldnt have been able to get it started or it would have been to damaged but from what i see he didnt even try, any body who finished would have scored 1 point, the championship may come down to just one point, rossi re joined and scored 1 or 2 points because he new then how tight it could be.
Hayden was trying to get up even before he stopped sliding

He kept calling people to help him get the bike back up and starting, after he realised the bike is dead is when he was on the ground banging the ground in disbelief and anger, thats when dani left.
it seriously broke my heart to see him so desperate .... and the fooking marshalls ran to pedrosa's bike WHICH he had already abandoned, whilst Nicky was pleading and signalling them to help him.

gosh, Hayden was seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeriously pissed. .... can anyone lipread?

MY QUOTES AREN'T WORKING PROPERLYYYYYY

Quoted for the truth said everything I wanted to say but BETTER

This is my take.......
I feel HORRIBLE for Nicky. Period. I am thrilled for Rossi. Period. I am not a bopper. Period. Dani Pedrosa arrogantly tried to work his own unilateral wet dream to the world championship at the grave expense of Hayden. On lap 4 Hayden took third place from Dani, slightly brushing him aside....now "I" am not Dani, but if I understand basic psychology...that pissed Dani off a bit.....(it would me)....now in his head at that moment he SHOULD HAVE thought, ".......don't be stupid, Hayden is my teamate"...but what he did instead was rush headlong into an tight left overtake and got in too hot and locked the binders....HAYDEN PAYS THE PRICE....THIS IS WHY I HATE HRC...THOSE ...... BONEHEADS....What they should have told Dani was....."if you get into it with Nicky....BACK THE FLUCK OFF".....
<
<
<
Instead, by saying nothing, they played russian roulette with two guys both hungry for victory
<

I have said all along that Hayden was overdue for some kind of incident.....I certainly would not wish THIS on anyone.....its going to divide the team in a time (800cc development) when the team needs both riders to work together and contribute......and I think everything Nicky said in his after race interview was right on...except for one complaint....THE CLUTCH PROBLEM....

THIS IS ............

A clutch is probably the simplest component on a race bike, next to the friggin chain! CHRIST...I BARELY USED MY CLUTCH IN RACING....I'd slap shift that ..... at 14 thousand rpm up or down and I'd be fine.... If a clutch is good enough to get you on the podium...its good enough to get you to the top box.....what I see in this is a concerned effort to establish that Hayden's season somehow mirrors the same bad luck pattern that Rossi has endured.....and that's a steaming pile of ........

You can't fine Pedrosa, you can't suspend him...and as Israeli Racer said, you can't blame him for racing hard...but jesus....you can blame him for a lack of compassion and a lack of common sense......
rossihaydenys7.jpg

<

"If I land this right I might just hurt that ....... and steal his ride next year"

Crashey is the best at what he does.

Christ.......the news even made bbc radio 1 today! (the UK's biggest station).........they only ever mention motogp if something bad has happened.

Having read Pedrosa's comments that Teo posted, I gotta say I belive him. I mean, what I've drawn up from the facts, it was a stupid, hot headed, clumsy, immature move. Fair enough, but that's not the Dani Pedrosa I know. The guy who won 3 world championships back to back, he's too smart to do somthing like that. He knew the stakes, he knew it was practcally impossible to pull the move off, so why would he do it? I don't think he meant to at all, I might be wrong, but that evidence, to me, combined with Dani's comments, points to a .... up. Not a mistake trying to pass Hayden, a mistake before that that saw him carry too much speed into the corner and take Hayden out.
I really feel gutted for Hayden, I don't know if he'll ever get a chance like this again. But I think it was like Gibbers at Catalunya. It was a personal mistake that just snowballed. It would have happened anyway, Dani would have gone down, but, thanks to the evil luck thats been plauging riders in MotoGP all year, Hayden was in the way, so he went down too. One things for sure, it ain't a pretty situation.

Oh yeah, good work by Elias, too. Beating Rossi like that puts him in a very exclusive club, even if he never does it again.

Babelfish, I agree 95% to everything in your post except about Pedrosa having to stay cool to avoid take out Hayden?

Hayden almost took Pedrosa off-track one lap earlier. He knew that being on the edge all the time is the only way to beat all those world-champions around him, so he was doing his job. I don't know why one crashing the other didn't happen in Sachsenring.

And Pedrosa was thinking ONLY about his own slim chances of winning the championship. You, me and anyone have done exactly the same in motorcycling racing and those two did.
