Ducati - Who is Developing the Bike... Hayden?

My question is really simple.. Who is developing the bike this season.. it seems Nicky is coming up to speed or the bike is changing to suit more and more riders..

Insight anyone..

Ideally, both Stoner and Hayden will have significant input to the bike's development, but since Stoner's self-imposed absence, I reckon Nicky's input have had more weight now and thus, whatever development or changes the team is implementing on the bike, suits his riding style more.

I'm under the impression that Ducati's development path has two distinct forks. I suspect this was a contracted concession made to Nicky when he signed. (If I were him, I'd demand it.) One development path is for Nicky and other mortals, and one bike built to Alien Stoner spec. I'm sure there's plenty of cross-pollination between the two groups, but will bet anything that Casey has rights to request and run any parts he wants, even if the other Duc riders can't begin to use them.

there is a good article in here...

goto page 34 first....all about hayden and the ducati regarding development. skip all the F1/4 wheel stuff and read the motogp stuff .all seems to be written by michael scott so its pretty good...

There is another good article on page 14 regarding Stoners throttle control. Of course the armchair specialists will still persist with the "Stoner just twists it full on" arguement but what can you do with these muppets. Interesting how FP outlines how Stoner can change his style in a couple of laps to suit what ever the bike/engine is changed to. This probably dates back to his dirt track days where he would ride 5 classes of bike in the one day and win on all of them.

Only issue is that they say 2006 was his first year on the 800cc Ducati so the door is well open for the doubters.

Just throwing it out there in preparation but I for one would enjoy seeing the data mentioned - that woudl be sensational stuff to look at, just hope I could understand it.

You did, but the GPWeek article says.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>When he defeated Rossi in his debut Ducati season of 2006, the first of the new-generation 800cc clas, .....................

I was pointing out that the article is wrong and that some will use that as a point to question the validity of the comments contained with it as if they cannot get the simple date right what about other aspects of the article.
