Ducati Corse completed their first day of testing with Vittoriano Guareschi aboard the all new 800cc GP7. This was the first time the bike has been taken out of a dyno and put on an actual track. Very little information from the test was realeased other than the quote from Filippo Preziosi, <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>We started off by running a check on all the components of the new bike and over the next two days, if we don't encounter any particular problems, we will move on to phase two and begin the first set-up work.
You can check out the story courtesy of Dean, Toby, Jules and the boys at www.superbikeplanet.com

Check out these piccies of the 800cc GP7 courtesy of Crash.net. Sexy looking tail section, looks like a new exhaust but it's hard to see. Other than that, it looks as though they're using mostly Desmosedici bodywork.

me thinks he'll win his 1st race at a spanish track. catalunya perhaps.

Not if Valentino has anything to do with it!!

Barcelona is one of his fav tracks and the M1 went well there in testing didnt it. I'd put money on Rossi winning there, saying that this year hasnt exactly been predictable....

I can understand why they didnt give lap times out because it's there 1st EVER Test of the new 800cc

Will the 800s really help Dani? Unless Honda build a 3 cylinder their bike wont be any lighter than the current RCV. If they keep the 5 pot layout itll be even hevier. His only hope is for a phisically smaller bike. And even that might not help that much. Honda can`t build a bike for Dani, he`s gotta do what everyone else does and adapt to what they give him. Which is not outta the question. He`s still doing extremely well for a rookie. His achivements are only masked by high expectations and the fact that this years Honda rookies are at a pretty high level (I`m not going to say his name because I don`t want to be seen to be complimenting his achivements)
