Ducati boss confirms Rossi for 2011

Surely it kinda confirms JB is not retiring? If he were retiring it would be with Yamaha and they would want to be getting the ost out of him whilst they still had him. And that would be risk free of going to another manufacturer thereafter.

If anything it confirms JB is going to another manufacturer. Just who that "other manuf." is the interesting bit.

Don't be naive BM, we all know that if JB does decide to part company with Yamaha where he is going to end up.

Where is that? There is no guarantee he is going to ducati. The other thing with JB is - do ducati want to take the whole crew of mechanics with them? It isn't all just Burgess and Rossi. The whole crew has been together for years. Do ducati want them? Do they all want to go? I don't know how long they've all been together, but surely a few of the crew could go on to be chief mechanics themselves?

I believe JB will stay in motoGP for at least a few more years. That time on ONE (TV) in Australia, they had JB on he seemed quite keen on continuing. His main interest was and always will be, motorcycle engineering. Does this mean he will move to ducati? The only people who know will be the inner sanctum (Rossi, crew etc.).

Personally, I'd love to see Rossi go to ducati and have a different crew. It would make it so more interesting to see how he copes. Obviously, I'd then like to see JB and Stoner together, but if that wasn't to be, a JB - Spies partnership would be awesome. JB and de Puniet would be fantastic as well. Obviously that would depend on whether they had factory backing, as JB isn't going to work with a non factory rider at this stage of his career.

Only time will tell but i am pretty much sure that he will move to Ducati along side with Rossi. If he does leave Yamaha then i can't see him going anywhere else apart from Ducati unless he decides to retire.

Could JB be moving on elsewhere

its hot his field as such but Dorna have now decided they want a new technical advisor and are advertising for one

could he play a roll in that say with someone else

Saw that and wondered same

He'd be a huge loss to MGP if he went, just look at how many GP wins the guy has been part of

Naive! We all know do we
<

Look mate its your brainless Bopperism not mine, my mind is very open for what JB could do, it would be naive to think otherwise at this stage.

You haven't even got a chance of thinking outside the yellow square, so don't be calling others naive

Well, the likely choice is ducati - it's pretty obvious. I'm not so sure the 2nd choice is retirement. He loves his job and he's one of the best at it. Do you think he's chasing crowns like Rossi or the other top riders? I very much doubt it. How many chief mechanics are remembered over time? I think JB doesn't care about titles etc. I may be completely wrong of course - we'll know soon enough. I doubt money and fame etc. are the obvious motivations for him. Everyone here seems to think Burgess is going to chase Rossi's tail. Remember, JB had 6 world championships on his resume before Rossi came along. Obviously working with a talent like Rossi is rewarding in so many ways. It doesn't mean he's Rossi's lapdog.

Wsbk is often mentioned here, just look at how many others are now discussing it, my point was it's a motogp thread so why do we need to be concerned with potentially spoiling a wsbk result? these results could have been spoilt for you by an off glance at tv news or radio announcements, let alone actively checking out a motorcycle racing Internet forum 4 days after the event???? Find someone elses balls to bust as we are here discussing racing and if you don't want results then don't get out of bed!!!

Are you a TOTAL ..... Talpa? Not posting spoilers is a doctrine OF THIS SITE, you ....... We all know we can flip on the tube and get results - SO WE AVOID THAT WHEN WE HAVE TO WATCH DELAYED RACES - we do not expect our fellow Powersliders to be stupid enough to post spoilers then try to weasel out of it by posting lame-... excuses...

i thought casey's crew was going to honda from ducati with him? or was that just rumour?

Australians and Ducati have always done well together. I think Burgess and crew should go to Ducati with Valentino.

Yes,i read somewhere that Stoner is bringing most of his crew to Honda,so there would be no problem for Rossi to bring Burgess and crew.On motogpmatters,GPone or moto-racing speedtv i think it was.The info seemed pretty trustworthy anyway.

But it didn't say,and i haven't seen anything telling where Burgess and crew is going to end up.

The beauty of all this is JB is such a "cagey" fella, nobody has any idea of where he is going
<
<
<

And he can make or break Rossi's future depending on whether or not he goes Duc.

These bikes are largely a concoction of parts from secondary manufacturers, JB knows how to make a world full of parts look like a bike. Then it may get a Honda/Yamaha/Ducati sticker wacked on it and hey presto!!

If you look at it, in his time in GP's, there has been only a couple of years JB's "parts" did not win

Firstly, http://www.powerslide.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/.....gif !

Secondly, how long are we suppose to wait before discussing race result so that its not considered a spoiler? ???? 1 month, 6 months, 12 months maybe never at all, .... I missed the 1989 OZ GP please don't talk about the result.........I'm downloading it. Who's writing the rules on this? I'm sure its happened many times before and your just antagonizing as a good troll should.

you are being purposely dense. your point about how long we should wait is moot because this isn't the WSBK forum or thread.

So we can't talk about WSBK at all here then???

Rossi happened to test the R1 and make it better, Rossi happens to be a Motogp Rider, Crutchlow and the R1 happened to win 2 races for the first time this year on the weekend, most enjoyed the discussion and contributed, whilst others trolled for negatives.........

Oh great a dense person is calling me ridiculous
<
<
<

Yes I'm sure you have respect for JB, so long as he is with Rossi
<

I'm pretty sure almost everyone here has called you this and far worse.........so does that mean that the rest of the world is dense and Baz is the all-knowing wise man of Motogp!!!

Mate Christopher Nolan should have based his latest effort around you.......a dream inside a dream- inside a delusion- inside fairy land! But I know it would have been impossible even for him to recreate your psychosis
