Door always open for Stoner to return

Unfortunately, I think you had badly missed the whole point. You need to relax,...then look at my post again, analyze deeply what I wrote -

Stoner during 2009 - he was losing to Rossi two years in a row, at that time he didn't know that he is the only that can ride the Ducati.

Therefore, being the coward that he is, Stoner decided to run away from the challenge of getting beaten by faking his mysterious illness. He is simply not brave enough to face the fact of being second to Rossi yet again.

Stoner in 2011 and 2012 - Now Stoner realized that he was the only one who could ride the Ducati fast. If Stoner knew that in 2009, probably he would not fake the mystery illness then, because fans will sympathize with him due to ill handling Ducati.

So these two separate episodes show that Stoner was such a coward,

In 2009 - he thought "oh ....,...Rossi's beating me, I have no excuses, my 2007 reputation will be at stakes,...what should I do? I can't tell the world I take a break from a few races to go hiding in the lakes fishing....

So best thing to do is for me to fake a mysterious illness that results me puke into helmet during race, then everyone will believe me. The fans will think I am recuperating in Australia, while I am relaxing by the lake fishing...."

In 2011 and 2012 - Stoner thought "...actually Rossi can't ride the Ducati, so its time to attack him in public. ...., I should not have fake the mysterious illness in 2009, because by now fans would have cut me some slack because I was riding ill handling Ducati back then..."

Only cowards like Stoner will kick his rival Rossi while he is down in 2011 and 2012, while before that, Stoner was timid like a mouse. Such attitude makes him lose the support of his Aussie fan. Adriana is doing a bad job stroking this "Little Big Man's" ego.

That must be the most stupid explanation to Stoner throwing up in his helmet, being sick and therefore taking a break ,i have read so far.

You say he faked it !!!??

Unfuckingbelieveble!

I thought I simply had a different opinion, and everyone has their own but this is way beyond that. It's stupid!

I am not just expressing opinions, I am saying this based on facts and evidence.

The fact is Stoner has ego bigger than his little head.

Fact is Stoner was beaten two years 2008 and 2009, fact is Stoner thought he was invincible in 2007.

Fact is Stoner could not handle being beaten

Fact is, Stoner has no choice but to fake his mysterious illness nonsense so that he can use it as excuse in 2009 not winning the title

Fact is, Stoner wisely chose to come back in 2009 in races that suits Ducati so that he can potray some greatness to his reputation

Fact is, Ducati's professional doctors could not find anything wrong with Stoner

Fact is, Stoner gave very beat around the bush type of answer about his mysterious illness.

All the above facts prove that Stoner faked his mysterious illness so that he have perfect excuse not winning the title.

It still makes as much sense.

Ah,so it's a fact now that he faked the illness and also the reason for it.

Are you on the same planet??

We got down to brass tacks on this one in another thread.

The answer begins and ends with Wayne and Kevin. Now you know.

I used to spend a lot of time thinking about nostalgia.

Cursing out his favourite riders wouldn't make me feel better, I'm a big fan of Schwantz  who is in turn a big fan of Stoner. Really we should start a thread called sour grapes, the staple of the motogp cuckoo.

Thats not how i look at it at all. Rossi has his championships and i dont care, good for him, he was hardworking enough both on and off the track to deserve them. what i am talking about is the many riders on the grid who coulda woulda shoulda. For years certain fans have sniggered at the suggestion some truly great riders get stuck on substandard equipment. They just lacked the talent right? Now after two years on the Ducati surely these fans understand what we were on about. Not quite 80% rider 20% bike is it. But no, they just take it as an attack on his unquestionable greatness and championships. Its not about Rossi, its about the others. If it was all just down to random luck then ok, but this championship is being determined far more by design, the lowest a sport can get imo. WWF. Stoner left at a point where there were only four championship contending positions available, and he had one of them. Rossi must have been sitting in that retirement press conference thinking Stoner is crazy. Stoner said its demotivating lining up on a grid with half the riders on CRT, its not real competition. Im sure Rossi would not give a .... about such things.
I have a hard time believing that from a man who spent the majority of his races wins 3-4 seconds ahead of the pack.

You are falling into the same trap as Jum, you are prepared to believe in anecdote rather than analysis.

He means for the guys on the CRT bikes it's demotivating Goaty. They don't have a hell of a lot to get excited about do they?

Ha, he just knew that of he had to keep lapping slow people fists & legs were gonna fly!

He could ask Jorge about that. Bet he loved the CRT concept in Valencia. :)

Oh, and let me add. Rossi is great coward. He went to Ducati because he not want to stay with Lorenzo to fight. He knows, easy for him to blame Ducati for poor performance. More difficult to hide his coward if he stay at Yamaha to fight for title. He is cunning, smart, coward, knowing if he stay at Yamaha, he lose. So he go to Ducati to avoid fight with Lorenzo. Rossi leaving Yamaha early due to being scared of facing potential upcoming rivals that could dethrone him of his fans believe that he is best. So he go to Ducati, smart cunning coward move. The questions asked, why Rossi had to fake the go to Yamaha?

Answer and fact - Rossi could not get over the fact that he had been beaten by Lorenzo (the unworthy champ) 2 years in a row, 2010 and 2011, after Rossi's ego was inflated to unprecedented heights after 2009. Had Rossi known back then that only he could not ride the Ducati, he would not have come out with the mysterious ill-fate move to Ducati nonsense. He would have known that he would get sympathy of fans for riding the Ducati.

This evidence supports the fact that Rossi is coward.

I believe that this is enough evidence already.

:....:

I don't know that I'd say he was a "coward". A big spoiled baby.... for sure. His ego led him to believe that he had enough sway with Yamaha to push Jorge out the door and once his bubble was popped - he didn't really have anywhere else to go but Ducati. As savy as Rossi has been in the past - I can't convince myself that he really and truly believed (given the evidence from Capirossi and Melandri) that he that he could make the Ducati work for him in one season's time. But if his ego outweighed his common sense at contract time with Yamaha I suppose - it could have had the same effect when it came to taking a seat with Ducati. Either that - or he's really dumb as a bag of hammers. Going to Ducati had disaster written all over it.
U've done this at least 3 times now. Kesh, why do u think the part in my post u quoted was in italics? Not to mention the sledgehammer subtly of the not so subtle emoticon: :....:

None of those sentences contain facts apart from Stoner not winning the 2008/09 championships.

Stoner saw several doctors and only one suggested lactose intolerance.  No doctor is infallible and Ducati's doctors, plus several others were obviously fallible.

Stoner didn't have a mystery illness in 2010 as the lactose intolerance was being treated.  He didn't win the championship again, so what was different about 2010 in comparison to 2009 in your warped world?

Cuckoo, its people like you that are partly the reason that Stoner retired :

"2009 was a big eye-opener to me, everyone still until this day says it was a mystery illness, the fact that no one understands that I have a lactose intolerance, which is really critical, it just takes all my energy and stops me from absorbing nutrients. No one listened to me on that. Many things over time have taken their toll."

Note that he clearly states what the problem was, he doesn't "give very beat around the bush type of answer about his mysterious illness" as you would have it.

BTW I join with the other Australians on this forum in stating that Stoner has my full respect, both for the years he spent motorcycle racing, and for his decision to retire.  Same goes for all my mates that follow MotoGP.  So all the Aussies I know disagree with your statement that he's not respected over here. How many Aussies do you know?

I hope he makes it okay in V8 Supers. His temperament is fine for bikes, but he seems a bit thin skinned for tintop racing.

Lex, maybe so but I am not so convinced that the issue will be temperament so much as in MGP my reading (call it suspicion) is that he has no real issue with the riders but definitely has an issue with what he perceives as 'the politics of favouritism', be it real or imagined it is for him, real.

Within the V8 circus the politics do and definitely exist but they are in this case no real surprise to him as he has long been reported as a total student of the V8 scene and series in Oz, even so far as being able to recite poll sitters, records and lap times of some drivers (reported in local media a few times). With this in mind, and if true of course, couples with his ties in the ex-Vodaphone team I suspect that he is not entering the sport ill-prepared in terms of the off-track politics, but rather very well prepared for it (of course, there is less in the Fujitsu game).

That all said of course it is Stoner himself who reportedly says it best when he says (paraphrased) 'we need to see IF I am good enough'

Time will of course tell but I for one wonder if his Red Bull sponsorship will go some way towards seeing him at the mount in the drivers seat in 2013

But according to Casey's twitter feed, maybe it's not as official as is being reported??  He seems to suggest that nothing's concrete yet.  One thing's for sure though, Clipsal would be a tough race first up!
