Donny GP Race Talk *SPOILER*

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (gui22a @ Jun 24 2007, 02:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Damn it, Capi was gonna to beat Valentino too! Two Desmos beating Valentino in a twisty track would be great !

Go Desmo, just 10 races to go!
dont think that was going to happen some how.

just 10 races,, what are you on.?

It's strange, when Rossi goes bad, the discussions threads goes too.

Maybe if Rossi had won we could be going to the 75th post in a few minutes.

To be honest, since last year i'm quite bored with only Rossi winning 15 races of 17, and that repeating year by year during 5 long seasons.

Motogp was going to be like F1 and Schumacher era, where i easily could sleep the whole race and just watch the start and finish lap.

Stoner and Pedrosa are comming to give more funny to Motogp. Where the hell in this world monopoly has funny?

I cheer for Rossi wins too, but at least with decent competition, for the well of the sport.

Exactly. All the Rossi folks are down in the dumps right now. Believe me I know. My girlfriend is a huge Rossi fan and I have to put up with her when he does poorly.
<
She was nearly crying by the end of the race! "Whats wrong with Rossi this season?!"

I was pretty bored with Rossi winning all the time too. I love to see a bit of excitement and intrigue as to who is gonna win the championship. Make it entertaining!

Stoner is the NEW man in town.

I thought, like most did, that it was only the bike after seeing the first race...but after this victory I've warmed to him and he's got my support for the title.

Cool race. Well done to Edwards for leading for a lot longer than I expected, so he proved me wrong. Stoner, well it's gotta be difficult now to say that he ain't World Championship material.

Vermin again great stuff, different bikes 123, fab again.

Even Kurtis didn't come last which probably proves that his brother should have bloody had a go, instead of saying he couldn't be arsed.

I have to say this time (Rossi) yeah his tyre looked shot, but then he chose them.

The bridgestones seem to rule again.

Great race though, conditions changing throughout really mixes things up.

Dissappointment was West coming off, thought he at least had a podium in him today.

Hayden.............well I had to feel sorry for him today, he tries hard you can't say he doesn't try.

Definitely this season was the most exciting over last 6 years.

Rossi, Stoner and Pedrosa on pair! They are fighting in a equal level, this is very cool for Motogp.

I forget to mentioning Suzuki and Kawasaki coming greater race by race. Nice competition!

Interesting race.

1st Casey Stoner 2007 World MotoGP champion, and well deserved. We can say it now.

2nd Congrats to Edwards his confidence must have been shatered after the last few races and today he did great.

3rd Vermeulen, when it's wet he delivers and never crashes, one rainy year like 2000 he could be champion.

4th Rossi, no more excuses, somehow he's passed from being a great wet rider to a complete wuss, he got beat fair and square can't blame tires or bike this time cause Edwards has the same(probably worse bike
<
). He's still great at keeping it up rubber side down and thanks to that he got some points today.

5th Hopkins, good, though not as good as Vermolen!

6th Randy good, I thought he would crash but lately he's smarted!

7th Barros good, though he used to be better in the rain.

8th Pedrosa, in championship terms it's a bad result, he can kiss goodbye to his title chances, still seemed very fast at the beggining when it was really wet.
<
That's weird!

9th Hoffman, pretty good for The Hoff's standards

10th Melandri, he seemed so fast in Le Mans in wet conditions, and today he sucked .... really misterious.
<

11th West, not too bad for a debut, he seemed very comfy and fast up there while it was wet, but when it started drying out ... he sucked a bit.

12th Elías, he finished in the rain.... without crashing .... that was good for his standards!

13th Roberts Jr2, not too bad for Kurtis standard, overall still poor.

14th Nakano, another pathetic race ... and I've lost the count
<

15th Tamada, dunlop sucks, at least he beat his teammate

16th Guintoli, poor, expected more after what he did in Le Mans

17th Hayden, it seemed there was a breakthrough in performance this GP, he screwed up in the race, but if the speed he showed in the FP wasn't a one off, maybe it's a good day for Nicky after all.

DNF Capirossi, should start looking for a retirement home.

DNF Checa, should go with Capi.

Desmosedici wins?

Stoner said:

Obviously it is the best bike out there at the moment and I cannot complain. Everything has been working perfectly all weekend and pretty much all season."

Joking. Stoner is a talent, no doubt. But the bike is helping a bit, doesn't?

Interesting race.

1st Casey Stoner 2007 World MotoGP champion, and well deserved. We can say it now.

i think thats a little premature teo, there is still 10 races to go and rossi is only 26 point behind,
altho it has to be said that stoner is sure looking like a champ.

Well he could fall of his bed while doing A-style and break his leg, but apart from freaky accidents and other non-racing issues, the kid has proven he is rock solid and fast under all weather conditions and track types. And he's not psychologically intimidated by Rossi.

I think that's a very important aspect indeed. For sure he has the best bike and for sure he has the talent, but what makes him even greater, is the fact he ain't afraid of Valentino whatsoever. It seems he has matured a lot and he isn't, like you said, intimidated easily, which is a key aspect imo. He proved that last race as well, when he was in a straight fight with Rossi. Rossi wasn't backing down, neither was Casey!!
<

I do think anything is still possible, cause we still have 10 races to go. But I think it's harder for Rossi to fight back than it was last season, cause now Casey is actually WINNING races, whereas Nicky finished on the podium often, but he only won 1 race. That's the difference.

2 races, lugna and assen if i remember correctly.

Lol and yeah Assen was the most memorable for last lap chuckles.

AND it's gonna rain next weekend so cool stuff again.

It seems my new Pedrosa T-shirt was a waste of money! But what a race, I was thrilled to see De Puniet put in a solid ride (woken up a bit by west's pace) and to stay on. Honda had a terrible day again, there is still work to do for sure. Rossi was beaten today by someone with the exact same package as him, when that happened to Casey in italy many of you questioned if he was world title material...........

Stoner appears to be the perfect racer this year, there is nothing he can't do, and if he was out of the picture we would all be slating the Ducati for not being good enough so its definately man not machine making the difference.

OMG, I can't believe I forgot about Assen. That was a great race by Nicky obviously, he was leading from the start on

new man in town ???? good head he's only won 5 races calm down, plus he has the perfect setup or didnt you notice???
he did race amazing again today tho i must admit its only for the duke hes number 1 if you took that bike away and give him a different one you know aswell as i do he wouldnt be number 1, you dont go from having trouble staying on a bike and then come out battling like that.
hes obviously riding the bike but its perfect for him.
anyway it was a good day even tho rossi didnt win ,lookin forward to the next.

Yeah, and take away the bikes Rossi had when he won the title and he wouldnt have been champ as well. It's obviously about the right combi, this year the Stoner + Ducati combination is just amazing, simple as that!!

Rossi should step up his game if he wants to win the title, cause if it continues like this, Casey WILL win the title, and that would be deserved.
