rossi seems to love donington as hes never been beaten yet on track, 2003 placed 3rd cus of his pass ona yellow flag, weird thow wasnt it they never did it until hours later..

im there c u all in the beer tent

I think Rossi loves Donnington because of his massive following over here and the track layout.

We all know he's the master at 'adapting' his style. And we know that Donnington has effectively 2 layouts- the flowing bit from Redgate to Coppice- and the 'car park' bit from Foggy's Esses to Goddards.

I think that because of the tracks nature he can use it to his advantage and maximise corner speed in the flowing section, and 'point n squirt' it through the car park bit.

Obviously all the riders have to do this, but for most its a compromise between the two. My thoughts are that Rossi is the master at Donnington.
<

(excluding the late-great Steve Hislop's lap on his Monstermob Ducati998 in 2002 i think, where he did a quicker lap than Vale on his RCV! R.I.P Hizzy)
<

I wish I knew more about Hizzy, as I recall he was the defending BSB champion when his helo crashed was he not? Brings me back to how badly I wish to follow that series more closely. As far as Donny goes I think we will see the same 3 on the podium however in reverse order. IMO Rossi is next to unbeatable there and Edwards goes so well, Nicky will be riding the momentum and he will probably challenge the two front runners if he doesn't dismount Edwards for 2nd.

My anticipation for Donny is huge. I am really excited to see how well Nicky rides the momentum that he gained from Laguna. As well for colin having his second straight podium finish.

yes i will be there, hopefully somewhere around mcleans, should be a top do,and by the look of it alot warmer than last year, heat today mid 80's and absolutley stifleing
<
and remember Tamada son is a bit of a lag here, and one to watch if that wrist is not playing him up !
<
<

Dr Costa I didn't read anything of Tamada's wrist acting up again and he put forth a very respectable ride coming home in 7th. He should be good for Donnington, here's to a comeback.

Donny will be interesting, Nicky's morale must be really high now, and I'm sure Rossi's motivation to show who is the boss will be great.

And Colin is getting very close to a win lately !

My bet is on Rossi to win by a big nice margin.
<

Yep. Rossi wants to show Nicky and Colin whos boss in europe, and at Donny for that matter.

My heart says Colin now needs a win tho... you never know...

It's going to be a very good race. I have a hard time seeing anyone beating Rossi at one of his home tracks. However as you guys said Edwards is looking very close to a win and Nicky's morale is off the charts. It's going to be exciting for sure.

ROSSI DEFO BUT LAST YEAR COLIN GOT SECOND SO I THINK HE WIL B UP THERE,

NICKY DID WELL AT LAGUNA BUT ROSSI WIL PROVE A POINT THT WE ALL ALREADY NO ANYWAY.

LOVE ME X X
