Young American riders are impressing me more and more every day. It looked like we were on the cusp of a long drought, but a lot of talent has been on display at home and abroad. Hard to believe I can say that after one of America's brightest upcoming riders was killed at Indy, but it's true, imo, despite the tragedy.

Congrats to Jake Gagne!

That's an impressive list of young talent, you should add JD Beach to it.

Calikid and I were at the WERA races in Fontana this weekend. Benny Solis Jr. has become a regular at our trackdays too. He's got a great attitude and demeanor. His dad is a very humble and dedicated man and his mom is a great supportive lady. BTW, Pov, here is another name you should keep in mind: Lex Hartl. Benny's dad works on his bikes, so he was pitted next to them. He took the championship that weekend and was very stoked. Beat everybody by a country mile, and Benny's dad told us he did that on his B bike. Not sure if you remember me mentioning this, but this is the kid that rode on the return flight from Indy with us. He told us how he saw his buddy Peter Lenz crash and how its effected him. He actually invited us to see him race at Fontana before we knew we would be hanging out with Solis, its a small world, eh.

Benny Solis Jr. His dad on the tire warmer.

Hey Chops, hard to believe this is the 13yr old who took both rookies cup races to the wire at Laguna and eventually the American rookies cup champ. The kids is growing up. He can't ride AMA cuz he's not 16 yet, but if Josh Herrin wins the DSB title, there is a good chance he will leave the seat open for Benito.

Not sure if you have ever been to Barber, but the landscape is dotted with GIANT spiders and ants. Not sure what Barbers motivation was to put these everywhere, but it is pretty cool the first time you see them
