I'm not trying ot jump to conclusions but:

First time on a GP bike in OVER a year and a half

First time on a Moto Gp bike.

First time at Laguna.

Outpacing regulars.

Anyone know how far he is off Barros? And should Chaz get a GP ride should he do well in the race today?

13th in warm-up today 0.5 off Barros......................bloody outstanding!

He's also ahead of the 'Laguna' Stars of Miguel Duhamel and Kurtis Roberts...

I would not be surprised if he get top 10, and he gets an offer for 2008...

I still don't get why he wasn't offered the Ilmor ride. Still, as fate would have it, its better that he didn't now.

very impressive ride considering all those 1st's for him!!

Did himself no harm at all, the team should be kicked up the arse for the sprocket. A great ride made even better by the .... with the bike.

Dunno if he is but the sprocket lost a load of teeth.
Very convincing ride.

His fastest lap in the race was only 0.15s off Barros' and about 0.5s off Rossi, very impressive. I wish the next race wasn't so far in the future so Chaz could get another go before 'The Hoff' gets better.

The media is saying Hoff's injury will take a long time to heal and is potentially career threatening. If he is out for any races for the remainder of this season I have a feeling Chaz Davies will be getting the call to replace him. Hopefully he can parlay this into a full time ride in 2008.

Top 10? Migs, please, keep it realistic at least..

Why not the top 10? No reason for him not to be.

I remember most of readers on this forum slateing Stoner and Ducati after they signed him, "they should be signing Bayliss" Yea yea yea...

See this is why we are just mortals. Unless you're in the paddock or working for a team we know nothing.....

Absolutely terrible...and is partly down to race control NOT red flagging the incident and NOT getting the ambulance to Hoffman on the side of track for nearly 20 minutes...during which he kept going in and out of conciousness (sp?)...disgraceful if Hoff's injury ends his career!

I hate to be a killjoy, but surely if there's any more racing to be done for Pramac D'Antin, they'll bring in their boy from the Spanish racing series like they did last year, Ivan Silva? It was only because Chaz was in America that weekend for the AMA that he got the call up.

proves how easy these bikes are becoming to ride and how much harder it is to seperate the real talent from the average Jo's.
