Totally agree, but I also think that Jack would play for Jack whilstever he could be competitive in a championship sense, and once his chances were gone if Dovi was to remain in touch than Jack would take the snagglepuss line of 'exit, stage left', or as it is now called MAP8 Mate.
I also tend to think that Dovi may see Jack more as a competitor than he does Petrucci who he has seen for a number of years on similar machinery so he knows what is there to expect.
None of this means that Petrucci will not go for the win if he can, but that he may be an 'easier' team mate to deal with.

I saw it mentioned somewhere - may have been here may have been elsewhere that Petrucci being on a 1 year deal is interesting in two ways.
The first being that it removes both factory riders from being at contract renewal time at the same year, thus frees up time for decision making and secondly it gives them an out should Miller prove to be exceptional (or not so) or Petrucci not so successful as it would allow a clean out.
