I’d really like Dani to retire on his own terms not because he lost his ride. It kinda sucks Honda never worked out for him. But he’s 32, still reasonably fit and I’d like to see him on another competitive bike that could fit his size and style more than Honda before he “hangs up his helmet”.
I think after all these years, he's proved whatever he's going to prove. My sense of the guy is there's no way he's going to step down to WSBK. It kinda made sense when Nicky did it. Superbike is where he made his mark before coming to Europe. Pedrosa on the other hand has raced in GP classes since he was a kid. He doesn't need the money. And moreover, the risk of further injury whilst competing in a lesser class, can't have much appeal.
