Whether you love him or hate him, the Stoner's made a lot of personal sacrifice and worked damn hard to get Casey to where he is. Sure they had some good luck, and got some help along the way, but they sacrificed everything and worked hard to get there.

From a young age, failure was just not an option for Casey, and that is a lot of pressure for a young kid. If he failed, the family went back to Aust with nothing.

Or to put it another way failure for casey meant he would have to live our lives... oh the horror!!

Yup. That kind of pressure must have taken a lot of enjoyment out of young Casey's racing.

I think he'll wild card every year at P.I. Entering just that one race, he could earn more than most other riders in a year and pay for his family's running expenses handsomely.

Not to mention the pleasure of beating the year's new world champion...

And guarantee huge crowds. I am still so pissed about missing this year. If I get a time machine I would go back to 1 minute before my accident but stop at PI 2012 on the way.

As nakomoto said, if he is happy he is so fast.

On a different brand bike each year. Hope the first year is on a Ducati. Just because I like seeing Rossi and the Boppers in pain.

Yeah imagine an evening with Gira AND Morrissey...

I quite fancy a Leonard Cohen/Tom Waits double live album...

Either that or Leonard Nimoy/William Shatner double power ballads.

Xmas is nearly here!

I wonder if Willski Productions has finalised their stocking fillers yet?

I was actually pleasantly surprised it was up for so long. Normally, that kind of thing gets taken down within hours, if not minutes.

I saw Plan B at a festival in Melbourne almost 2 years ago...without a word of a lie it was about 40c in the shade, and the guy came out in a full three piece suit and did the whole set still wearing a jacket. I was totally impressed and went home and downloaded the whole Strickland Banks album
<
Hahaha, seriously though he's amazing, he played the set with a brass backing band that sounded magic.

Andy, may I suggest early Joy Division or The Smiths for your wrist-slitting enjoyment!!!!
Is there anything but early Joy Division?

The Smiths are funny, not depressing.

Big fan of Ben Drew (Plan B ). Check out his new movie - Ill Manors.

You mean you don't like Union Flag draped, formerly effete, now boxing-enthusiast crypto-racists with daffodils hanging out their arses?
Wikipedia, is there nothing it can't do?

Nahh. Old, old topic. That .... is rote. Used to rile up my Moz fanboi brother-in-law and people on Morrissey fan boards. And Stained Glass Window Enthusiast sites.
