Can Hayden win on Sunday?

Just been reading <strike>Speed Camera Weekly</strike> Motor Cycle News and the ramblings of Mamola, Schwantz, Rainey etc about whether Hayden can win on Sunday.

Most agree that the odds are in Rossi's favour but also see it as the opportunity for Hayden to show the world that he's got what it takes to win the championship.

Part of me thinks that he's gonna be so fired up that he will do it.

So can he?

IMO he has a very big chnace of winning the race yes but not without Rossi being not far behind him. But rossi isn't going to sit back and let him take 1st place.

It will def be a great race to watch.

NO WAY Hayden. CAN NOT pull it off. rossi will be all over him like hair on a gorilla. and then wave as he passes him maybe he will give him the italian hello like he did marco for the elbow incident.

I'm not so sure. I read somewhere that he favours Valencia and did come second last year giving Melandri a run for his money. Admittedly Rossi came third after starting 15th!

Rossi will be pushing just as hard but as we know anything can happen. I just hope it's a clean race and we don't have a repeat of Estoril!

Rossi gave the italian hello to biaggi not marco and Hayden can be very fast at valencia. I guess we will just have to wait and see what will happen.

Thanx for da correction dude. I just had a brain fart on who.

Can he do it?
Of course he can!

Will he do it?
We will have to wait and see?

Is it going to be a good race?? No matter who wins it?
Of course, its MotoGP, .......!

I think the story is not whether Rossi or Hayden can win....because obviously either of them is capable....the real story will be the 'defensive players'....Colin and Dani.....where will they be....
From watching for so many years and being a racer myself, I can tell you that judging by body language and pure historical records, Hayden is easily intimidated by Rossi when raced head to head....I think if its down to NH and VR in the front, Rossi will overtake and hold.....
Bottom line, I hope the race is clean and filled with big wheelies from whoever the victor is....

Hang on there a minute slick. Did anyone see that press conference where Hayden told Rossi to learn some manners and have some respect for other people.

If you didn't I will set it up for you. Rossi and Marco were at a pre-race press conference with Nicky. Rossi and Marco had answered all of their questions and were sitting together and giggling while they were looking at Rossi's phone. Hayden stopped his answer to a question and got both of their attention and said that. I have never seen Hayden intimidated by anyone. Not even Mat Mladin. Trust me, when you are a teenager Mat Mladin is a scary and intimidating man. I have raced with him twice and I always made sure that I watched for blue flags so that I could get my ... out of the way when he would come flying by. Everyone else I would just hold my line and let them pick their way through. Hayden knows he deserves to be in the position that he is in, and he knows that Rossi is just a man.

Hey Electric Mofo, are you using your crystal ball again? Or did you just call the psychic network?

Here's hoping that you make Nastradamus look like some two-bit palm reader.

that - is very much the point sir. it won't make a jot who wins unless honda can get some riders between 69 & 46

for what it's worth - i think rossi will finish in front of hayden regardless and the last ever 'big bike' moto gp crown will be his. nickys good - just not good enough.

just my opinion of-course

i think nicky is capable of winning if he can hold his nerv. i think he will win or crash trying. as for asimo holding off rossi so nicky can win.

the doctor can pass him at will ,he is no match for rossi at all IMO.
i believe rossi will win the race as well as the championship and i hope hayden will be prowd to get 2nd and not blame it all on dani.

If the bike will work really good for Rossi, than he will win. If not than we will have to see. Hayden can make a surpise.
To be honest i don't remeber a race sine Hayden came to motogp(except laguna), where he beat Rossi in a straight fight.
Can anybody tell me when did Hayden beat Rossi, or least finished ahead of him?
So there is no way that Hayden could finish ahead of Rossi, judging by the recent races.

They both COULD win, but I don't know if Nicky's got the nerve to go head to head with Vale to the finish. Show me one rider on that track who doesn't feel threatened knowing the doc is riding up their .... Maybe Capirex, who's old and wise enough to know better
