Everyone knew that 5 years ago. Not exactly front page news. The fact that his old pal Burgess said it, doesn't make it any more true. You can be sure that anyone not on the payroll at Yamaha or Dorna are saying it openly. The king has no clothes.

I hope he will stay for next year. Rossi braking with three fingers, Rossi braking with two fingers, Rossi braking with one finger, Rossi breaking with no fingers! I want to see all that.

To be fair I don’t think Burgess saw that Rossi had 2015 in him, and was more or less calling him washed up in the Australian press while still his crew chief.

I am not sure 2015 was worth it for Rossi though, bitterness in regard to that year seems to outweigh his accomplishments to an extent for him.

I don’t know man. After he and Rossi, for that matter, said that they could fix the Ducati in 30 secs or something, and then proceeded to fall flat on their faces, I can hardly take Burgess serious anymore.

With how it's worked out with Yamaha, Rossi could have stayed with the Ducati project and probably have had more success over the same timeframe.

I don't think Rossi would have succeeded on the Ducati if he had stayed. Just my opinion, Dovi would be smashing him. Which bike do you think is better today by the way, the Ducati or Yamaha?

Yamaha handles better - Ducati has the better engine. It's a toss-up.

Yeah I get that. It was my round about way of saying if he can't get results on the bike that suits him, then I see no reason for him being more successful on the Ducati these past seven years.

Every knew 5 years ago - EXCEPT dillusional Rossi fans... the same disgusting fans that brought MotoGP into disrepute with thier ........ booing at podium sessions (remember what a podium is Rossi fans????).

Marquez is the GOAT :D

When I read articles like this, which in fact consist of one brief quote allegedly said by Burgess, I can't help but wonder if the quote is authentic or accurate, or more to the point is it some repeated rumor being used to sell click-bait advertising for arthritic knee treatments. If you watched the paddock action at PI - Rossi was clearly very happy to see Burgess and they had a big old hug; not exactly what you'd expect if Rossi thought Mr. B was bad-mouthing him in the press.

I don't think there's a problem with that Yamaha.

They have sorted out many issues on the Yam by listening to all 4 riders instead of just 1.

Its really funny because at the beginning of the year Rossi did an interview saying that the Yamaha starts off strong in the season and then drops off because the others evolve the bike more.

So much that Poor Yamaha had to publicly apologize (which btw I don't see anyone apologizing to them huh?)

Then halfway through Mav and Fab start squeezing all the goodness out of that agile bike and leave him in the damn dirt.

Karma working 100% here.

At the time he and JB parted there were numerous quotes in the Australian press from JB to the effect that Valentino was past his best. In retrospect JB was correct rather than badmouthing Valentino, but I thought at the time and do now that if Valentino wished to continue, whether or not that was a wise course he needed to continue with a different crew chief who had more faith in him. I have seen very little from JB since then though, and you may be correct about the current thing being a beat-up.
