casey will....

I heard that Westy will be testing a lot of qualifiers to resolve his qualifying issues!

I hope that means he will be closer to the pointy end ... if not, he still has some work to do!

I really expect Stoner to just keep doing what he has been doing all year ... topping the timesheets!

De Puniet 0.6 and four places ahead of Westy.

IR

good point there and also Silvain yet again ahead of tamada and only 2/10ths behind edwards.

hopefully get a full day tomorrow and we should be able to see the full extent of the test.

no news of whether yamaha ran new engine or not

You mustn't have read the link you posted;

Teammate Valentino Rossi also tried a new engine on his Fiat Yamaha but the improved power did not deliver a much-needed step forward on the timesheets as he ended the day 10th overall - 2.3 seconds off Stoner's best effort on qualifying rubber.

"We tried a new engine today and I completed about 25 laps with it," said the Italian. "Initially we haven't found that it's a lot faster, but anyway this is only the very first step so we need some more time to understand it better and to see how it can help us.

Oh if only that was really true!!

I made the mistake of getting cocky about Mick in the first half of 1992 when he was sweeping all before him... 5 wins & two 2nd places from the first 7 races against all the big boys! ... and then ASSEN
<

Mick was damn lucky not to lose his leg as well as the championship so while I love the fact that you're so confident about Casey, bad things sometimes happen to good people!

And I really don't want to jinx the guy

Edit: By the way, the following is an excerpt from the motogpmatters.com.website...

"No Room For Doubt

Brno, as ever, proved to be a turning point in the season. To Valentino Rossi's bitter disappointment, it was not the turning point The Doctor ordered, but the point at which Stoner's position in the championship changed from strong into unassailable. Casey Stoner now has a 60 point lead in the title race, with 6 races left to go. What's more, Stoner is in the midst of a perfect season, the young Australian withstanding everything that Rossi throws at him, and never putting a foot wrong. Every race on the calendar makes clearer that though the Ducati is good, and the Bridgestone tires are excellent, the thing that's making Casey Stoner's season so flawless is Casey Stoner's exceptional talent.

The question is no longer whether Stoner will be the next MotoGP world champion, but rather when. Stoner's perfect year could become even more of a fairy tale, with the young Australian likely to wrap up his title at his home Grand Prix at Phillip Island in mid October. Looking round the paddock at the competition, the only thing capable of stopping Stoner is bad luck, and a sea change in his fortunes. Going by the rest of this season, Fate seems otherwise inclined."

Day two of testing is underway at Brno and apparently its wet.. Take a guess who the only rider from the premier class out on track has been..
<
Ill answer; Westy.. Bridgestone have the 'wet weather speacialist' working through a gamut of Bridgestone wet weather tyres.. Looks like they have some faith in him... The rest are waiting for the track to dry out...

Hey.. Does anyone know if JorgeL was also testing. I haven't been able to find it anywhere. I am not sure that he was testing or not. It would be cool to see how he stacks up this year compared to all the rest of the guys.

...S___T himself and then through it down the road...not a very sensible idea to put the future so called in "legend: Jorge on/in such difficult circumstances...but he’ll learn in 2008 what it’s really like!!!
