Right. So you think Kallio deliberately rode into Melandris rear tyre and took both of them out? Does that sound like something he would do? No. The only logical explanation is that he didn't see Melandri.

I edited my post. Sorry for being harsh.

And here's how Mika explains the situation.

Translation:
"I was on the correct and fastest line until I got hit hard on the right side. I didn't have time to see anything at all before the impact. Sure, it was one of the best corners to overtake but such an experienced rider should know that you can't just risk it all and dive in like that. It was a racing incident but I couldn't have done anything to prevent the crash because it came out of nowhere."

don't like kallio too no good @ducati fac, go back with paramac , meandri no false, mjka should apologize to melandri

Jorge... sign with Yamaha right now before it is gone. While you flirt with Honda and Ducati, they may change their mind and approach someone else.

Exactly. Another camera angle would show this. He should still apologise to Melandri for the pushing though.

Also later in the interview with Kallio is mentioned his failure to pass De Angelis made his race difficult and that during the laps just before the crash he was quicker than Edwards/hayden, having closed them down, and intended to get passed them both.

Mikä on keula englanniksi?

Yea, but of course the "experts" over here immediately knew exactly how and why it happened and who was to blame, so they could move straight on to calling Kallio an ..... kamikaze. Nice.

Melandri made a fine move, the ground was his but it happened so fast that Kallio just didn`t have the time for it to register ,lifes quicker in Moto GP Mika!!Anyhow he`ll learn from it with hindsight and both riders are ok which can only be good, yes?

It looked like they already talked it over as was seen on the last camera shot. So no foulmouthing Kallio please.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (clarkjw @ Aug 16 2009, 08:32 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>THis is unfair. He just got the new chassis 2 races ago.

It is completely fair, this patern has happened over and over for several Seasons. As soon as Contract time is out, Elias starts beating the guts out of his bikes. I recall (and as much as it may hurt me) Elias bit Rossi once still during 'Contract Time' back in Estoril 2006, or was it to favor big H and Hayden taking points from Rossi? Which by the way, is his only MotoGP win ever.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (frosty58 @ Aug 16 2009, 08:29 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>blind spot my ...!... melandri came right underneath him, was in front & kallio would be lookin right at him. were would kallio have been lookin to the left!!!

I agree. Not only was Melandri's front wheel completely past, but Kallio hit Melandri's left 'Back' side of the bike… Melandri was, no matter the angle, past Kallio already. If you pause the video, Kallio's shoulder touches Melandri's 'Back' part of the 'Back' tyre! (I cannot upload a photo because of Dorna rights, but go ahead and pause it).

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DRILL @ Aug 16 2009, 09:30 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Melandri made a fine move, the ground was his but it happened so fast that Kallio just didn`t have the time for it to register ,lifes quicker in Moto GP Mika!!Anyhow he`ll learn from it with hindsight and both riders are ok which can only be good, yes?

If Kallio learns from it and apologizes for pushing afterwards... (riders are ok)... yes we could be all good. Although Kallio missed on a chance out of three to impress Malboro Ducati.

Now my boppers:

1.- Rossi's 102 and 22 to go! With 160 Podiums!
2.- Pedrosa gaining from fourth.
3.- 'Contract Time a bit late this year, waiting after summer break' Elias.
4.- If Dovisiozo stayed consistently around fifth with no DNFs, could be… well, fifth.
5.- Good on you Capi, after all you have a Crappi.
6.- Keep that seat, Hayden.
7.- If Toseland was higher so would have been Edwards.

Silly Kallio.
Melandri has a seat for 2010, bye bye Kawa (hopefully not).
Lorenzo do or die great attitude, I am glad he was not Kallio.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (J4rn0 @ Aug 16 2009, 08:58 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Excuse me if I said it: Lorenzo is too aggressive and lacks racing intelligence.

Give us Stoner back!
<

That's it in a nutshell. What a hot head.
<
Even the
Stoner bashers must have missed him. What a boring race.
At least Hayden got into 6th. You have to hand it to him. He
doesn't give up and he still knows how to develop a bike.
Can't believe Kallio's ....-up. He's too desperate.

Rossi. Proved he is still the master and grasshopper still has a bit more learning to do.

lorenzo. poor start but did very well until you went a bit deep off line. keep learning , be patient . wasnt that airbag suit cool.

Dani, lonely race, had the hole shot but ended like 15 odd secs behind the leader so not that good really.

Marco and Kalio. Racing incident, now confirmed by paul butler

lucky save by dovi

good ride by elias now your looking for a job.

nice ride by capi too. nearly 4th

not a bad ride by hayden, your getting there but more work needed.

where is Barrymachine, son of doohan, Krusty, Andyroo, bunyip these days

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (TheOak @ Aug 16 2009, 04:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Cannot believe how many people are essentially calling Kallio a liar.
Ive not read anybody calling him a liar. Commentators said it was 6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other. Race direction (Paul Butler) has said it was a racing incident and as neither team has lodged a complaint to race direction no action will be taken. So it was just a case of both riders racing for the same patch of tarmac.

Live with it !
