Brno Race Discussion

Lorenzo made a big mistake in trying to hold Rossi off when Rossi outbraked him; he tried to brake even later, ran wide, then to stay in touch, applied too much front while leaned over and the front washed away.

It wasn't the last lap, there was no need to be so risky...

Yea, he went a little too deep and got off the racing line. There's less rubber on the road out there...

...schwing!

Sorta. We all know he was in win-or-bin mode.

50 point advantage for The Doctor, cant see him giving that away really. Sorry to see Jorge go down, i think we would have had a bonkers last 2 laps!! And Elias...MMmmmm, seems he remembers where the throttle is when hes riding for a job!! Good race all round though, lots of action.

Lol. There was no "move" by Kallio. Melandri went past him, Kallio didn't see him and continued his usual line round the corner - probably speeding up to try to get drive to catch edwards but can't tell from that camera angle. 4th to 11th all had nearly identical fastest laps (all within about 0.2) and were lapping at such a similar pace that it was bound to end in a crash somewhere - was simply not enough difference in pace, so risks were needed to get passed. Melandri was the one making the move. Looked fairly normal but in context possibly kamikaze, also camera angle wasn't good to judge. Kallio shouldn't have reacted like that afterwards though. His mistake was not getting passed De Angelis very early on when he had the chance - would have be battling with Hayden. So probably anger for a lost top 6 finish!

Not kamikaze, blind spot. Mika had no idea he was there. Try some track riding and find out what it's like going through corners with a helmet on.

THis is unfair. He just got the new chassis 2 races ago.

Lol. More like 0.3sec as his fastest lap was only 0.204 faster than 11th fastest melandri.

deceptive camera angle - you need to use your brain and project yourself to the other side of things. I find it funny motogp.com say Kallio braked too late. To me he looked to be accelerating through the corner - certainly no struggling under breaking. Where as Melandri was stopping because he broke later to make the pass

Seriously, just cause he's a Skandi doesn't mean he should be defended. This is the second time he's run into a rider and crashed out. Melandri's pass was clean, fair and obvious. You don't even need to see anyone with these bikes. He could've easily heard Marco pass. Man up Kallio, you're overriding the bike.
