With only 2 races left in the space of one week, Surely we'll get some news on who will commentate for next seasons BBC coverage. With no eurosport will they step up a gear and try to deliver the same quality coverage as eurosport ? or will things remain the same.

My Heart says:

Toby, jules and Randy

My Head says:

Things wont change.. Parrish, Cox and Perry will remain... which in my opinion will be a tragedy.

i doubt very much that Toby, jules and Randy will be employed by the bbc. personally i dont really care who the commentators are. the eurosport crew have made as many gaffs as the bbc lot. im more interested in the race than what these jurno pricks have to say.

Would love to see Toby, Jules and Randy on the BBC next year. It's all about the racing but the banter between those 3 is addictive, my dad and i frequently sit there pissing ourselves at some of the stuff they come out with. Together with Neil Spalding we always get an interesting commentary....

Well like Rog I don't care, but I'd like it to be Toby, Jules & Randy to shut everyone the .... up

I think Charlie Cox is going to go though, because of his commitments to Aussie Top Gear.

How about a trade here from the states. Will trade ya Fast Freddie Spencer for Parrish, we'll even throw in a pit reporter, Greg White, no charge.

whats wrong with fast freddie ? ive never heard his commentary , is it ..... ?

I'd like to see Suzy Perry, She gets all the good interviews and she knows a bit about the techy side of things, Randy because he has a riders perspective on things and Colin Edwards because he wants to stay in Moto GP.

Yes.
We watch AMA with the mute button on most of the time, Cox & Parrish are commentary gods in comparison.

cox??? 4 wheel man knows sweet f/a about bike racing and generally talks bollocks
parrish??? only claim to fame 'was barry sheens mate' oh and won some truck races also talks bollocks
perry??? mutton dressed up as mutton nowdays, wishes for bollocks
matt??? aspiring journo, leading questions but generally bollocks (when they drop)
moody??? well harping on about his fuking hand made bicycle more bollocks
ryder??? technical expert hahahahahahahaha serious bollocks
mamola??? so far up livios arse he can cuddle his bosses bollocks

ultimately we have, bollocks aside, eurosport team generally ahead with the BBC following in a close second with a total yawnfest

I can only see Moody making the switch if one were to happen. Ryder has already signed with Dorna for next year and Mamola has his hands in so many pies I don't think his priorities lie with TV anymore.

IMO Randy's commentary has been polluted with his relationship with Ducati and Marlbrough. This has been particularly evident in the races that he's been in the commentary box and not down pit lane. Also with him trying to get his son into 125's and playing a part with Bradly's career I'm not sure whether commentary is the correct career path, although I do appreciate his gossip

Ryder already signed with Dorna????

I so missed that and I am pretty well informed usu. Link to a confirmation? And does that imply the MotoGP.com broadcast?

I'd pay them for the Jules&Toby show. They make boring races survivable.

I must agree, the AMA commentators (Shaheen, Spencer, White) are buffoons in comparison to commentators on Eurosport, BBC, and WSBK. The Moody/Ryder dynamic is always entertaining; they goof around but pay attention to the racing and know what is going on with the riders outside of the race. They come off as genuine race fans, like us, unlike Shaheen who comes off as "just doing his job". I'd love to see them continue covering the races, but I doubt they will be.

in what capacity i wonder? i watch all the races on motogp.com & i'm wondering is he gonna be in the booth with nick harris & gavin emmett. or replace 1 of them?

I also heard that Ryder has signed with motogp.com

I heard a rumor that Mamola signed with them too, but that may just be a rumor.

I haven't heard anything about Moody, but he needs to replace the guys at the beeb.

Did noone read last week's mcn? There's an article saying that Dorna may allow Eurosport to keep joint rights with the BBC, so as to cater for the hardcore fans. Meaning that we get to keep Toby, Jules and Randy and we get to see 125s and 250s live, and they will continue to show free practise and qualifying, like they do now. I really hope this comes true.

Cool, is this a fact or are you just messing with our heads!

Bearing in mind the questionable material that often appears in this rag.

I really hope this comes true. The contract with the BBC is for exclusivity, so it ain't going to happen unless they want to get sued.
