Lorenzo also looked promising to me. Not for the win, but I don’t think he will return to finishing 10th or worse either.

Both factory Ducs looked pretty good but didn't look to have the pace or consistency of the top 3 but definitely the next best.

WTF was Vnales giving Marquez the disgust wave for . He chose to abort his lap and wants to act pissed that Marc was on the same price of track. Pressure is mounting on Vinales. Then Rossi tries to play mind games by sneaking in behind Marc so he promptly beats him by 5-6 bike lengths on the practice start

Great Quali. Fun morning. A buddy hooked us up with full access guest passes for the day. Met Super Sic’s dad. And lots of others. Saw Randy Mamola. I said it’s too bad I can’t score a ride on the back of a Duc with you, but at least I won’t .... my drawers. He replies: Pshaw, you still wearin’ Underwear? Very cool guy. Pics later. Met up with my mate Ashe from the Channel Islands who is a Big Rossi fan, tho a racing fan above all, kind of like a Brit J4rno. There’s good viewing of the track from VIP stands but you can’t see the Jumbotrons - so we watched quali from the stands in the midst of a solidly Rossi crowd, and when Rossi did well, and they all stood and applauded him as he came back into pit lane I must admit I experienced a frisson of Rossi fan-ness: not unlike getting a contact high. Pleased to say - they gave equal respect to the other riders. Could have done without the yellow smoke.:happy:
