Assen Cathedral Of Speed - predictions

Quite frank and realistic statements from Scott Redding. This is the land of dreams and Mr. Redding has had a good run. Same as it ever was in the sport and entertainment world, you either do or don’t and if you don’t, get out of the way. Always room at the top for one more.

Still sad. For every superstar there are countless others with powers and abilities far beyond mortal men who are briefly adulated then it is all over, often at a quite young age. I believe Sam Peckinpah, or perhaps more explicitly the guy who remade his movie, explored the phenomenon.

MDub and JK were among those who were at that week-end to which I was invited but was not sufficiently organised, as is somewhat my wont, to attend.

Roger who was the biggest poster on here and pretty much put his whole life on here basically realised he should never have subjected his life, and particularly his family, to the scrutiny of random anonymous strangers of possibly dubious intent on the Internet. The precipitating post was not by Keshav but by a past poster who was an absolute ........ (? Zut alors), but it all blew up and Keshav lost his temper as I certainly do myself at times and some personal stuff from the contact in person at that Laguna Seca race weekend came out on the forum. I think he and Roger had clashed in person over the Rossi Stoner thing, which was of anything more intense than the Rossi MM thing now.

MDub is a good guy (particularly for a Rossi fan, I don’t use smilies) and an astute observer of the sport to whom I again apologise for past misjudgements. Otherwise I will only say I pretty much agree with Barbedwirebikers recent post.

M Dub is a great guy. But neither he nor JKD were at Laguna nor have met me or Jum. Both are blindly repeating Junkie’s propaganda without questioning its veracity. I’ve pointed this out repeatedly - but Jumkie has blanketed this forum with his wildly untrue assertions and folks assume if he said it this many times it must be true. The Goering formula to a T. JKD repeats the myth so much that even you have come to believe he was present. He wasn’t. The whole thing is a massive fraud. There’s a reason why one of his best pals coined the expression “Jumdickery”.

Thanks my dude. But as keshav stated I was not at laguna. I met Jumkie and co. at the Indy race. I remember the incident in question very well however as I had become lose friends with jumkie by then. The things in question were said by keshav and have been deleted.

Shows you needed to be there then. I want to leave this as you do, but I do agree with barbedwirebiker that JK is at least as much of a provacateur as anyone on this forum.

What I do know is that it wasn’t you but another guy, I think Zut alors, who made the post about Roger’s children on the forum, and initiated the conflagration which followed, and you were blamed because of stuff from the weekend which subsequently emerged from that conflagration.

I get it. What would be even sadder for Redding is if he never got to do it in the first place. There are a lot of talented people out there that don’t get the chance. That said, I think it’s still true that you mostly make your own luck.

Honestly, I believed he was at a size disadvantage in Moto2 as he claimed, and I expected him to shine once he hit the main show. Not my first mistake in picking MotoGP winners and losers, but a substantial disappointment none-the-less.

This is definitely one field where being taller than average will not work to one’s advantage, everything else being equal.

I gave up on any giving a .... about the health and well being of this forum, after watching Jums name get dragged around, slandered and pissed on, with hardly anyone here naming the problem.
That guy has done more good to people he has met on this forum than you will ever find anywhere. Have any of you ever come across someone so generous and hospitable to so many he has never met. I’m not even talking about the philanthropy he does outside the forum, that most of you don’t even know about. Jum has personally met you a few times and has spoke in nothing but glowing terms about you Povol.
Michael M, Birdie, Gaz, will go toe to toe with you if one quip is thrown out about Stoner, a person they don’t know personally, will never meet, and will certainly never be friends with. They call Jum a friend and yet stand by with their thumbs up their ..... when he’s getting slandered. A bunch of worthless starfuckers.
Just about the rest of the forum are a bunch of cowardly ..... as well. I have lost respect for all but a handful of people that had the balls to stand up. The rest of you can go .... yourselves with your I just wanna talk racing .........
That window has passed. Like Jum says, You get the forum you deserve
Jumkie happens to personally rate no 1 to me out of everyone on this forum and likely off it as well. That’s all I care about.

Your agenda means absolutely nothing to me.

And none of them were saved in quotes during this entire saga. I find that hard to believe.

Sure, that is true as well. People like Ant West begged, borrowed and stole (figuratively) for years just to be able to race.

Sure, that was obviously incorrect deduction and assumption on my part, knowing that you and Kesh had met at a race week-end and that you and Jumkie were firm real life friends. Different from my recollections of what went down/was posted on the forum at the time in question which are reasonably precise.

I feared we had lost your acute insights into bike racing, your participation on the forum as well as Jumkie’s being major attractions for me. I recall if JK doesn’t when you applied your usual acute capacity for analysis to the matter in question.

The only thing you'd be ripping off is the cover of a lemon meringue pie and stuffing it down your gullet. Save the internet badass persona for someone else who might actually believe it pieboy.

..........you're so sharp you want to be careful you don't cut yourself......... legend in your own lunchtime you .....

Not so. Never said that stuff. If I had it would still exist as a quote in an answering post. You are remembering what Jumkie has falsely repeated.

Exactly. The much ballyhooed discussion about personal matters, such as they were, took place in private discussions where none were privy except me and Rog. Everything subsequently gossiped about on the forum was conjecture and hyperbolic hearsay - and none of it accurate.

It sounds like Petronas Yamaha with Morbidelli and Pedro will be announced this weekend.

I heard that too.
I think it will be a good team. I really want to see Dani on a Yamaha, almost as much as Horhay on the Honda.

Sounds like it’s going to be a very interesting season next year with all the swapping. Meanwhile this one is not too shabby either!
