Aoyama has fractured his wrist in a motocross incident in Barcelona. He's been ordered to rest before the test in Sepang next month and apparently he doesn't need surgery on it so that is lucky I suppose.

Thing is once a wrist has been broken is it ever as strong again? I mean could this be an issue for him this season do you think, or is it a common thing for riders to get?

not necessarily, plus its a "small fracture".  He should be ok.

Not a good start tho haha

Ah man, that sux.

Lyria, many riders get injuries in pre-season training accidents (disproportionally while motocrossing), but they usually turn out ok.  The biggest problem is usually losing important testing time.  Well, except VR when he injured his shoulder.  He said it bothered him for a better part of the season.

Yeah a couple of years ago Robert Kubica had a major and very serious Rallying accident, he hasn't got near to driving an F1 car since his injuries were so severe, so I know it happens. Just wondered if it was significant, apparently not then.

Shame for Kubica, Ugly mofo,

But one hell of a driver!

As for Ayo, erm well err it's his second bite of the cherry,

The wrist won't be much of an issue,

He's lucky it wasn't his Shoulder! that could have been bad ;)

But don't expect much.

Except maybe the returd, sorry return of SuperShitty56.

My appologies Returd was correct! ;)

Aoyama lacks talent to handle an easy and slow motocross, injuring himself.

With such level of talent, he does not deserve a ride in MotoGP

If he has strong will, then the broken wrist will be as strong again.

But if Aoyama has got the weak and cowardly will like Stoner, then his wrist will never be as strong. He is gonna complain and blame his wrist whenever he does not win, just like Stoner, making up excuses of the mysterious illness and puke in the helmet syndrome.
