Just one thing confuses me about Daniboy. He came onto the forum just as tps had been unveiled as the gift card bandit (quite handy as it suited tps to fade away from the embarrassment and taunts) and proceeded to spout the same stuff, is he one and the same, talps too? Since he's arrived tps posts less and less despite being prolific in his first week or so.
On his arrival he announced himself as a MotoGP fan first but that Pedrosa is his fave rider, although he doesn't like the grief Rossi gets compared to other riders.
For a Pedrosa fan, he barely mentions the little guy, instead he devotes almost all his posts to defending the indefensible that is Rossi and his hateful behaviour.
Come on Dani, I've no problem with you having your opinions, but it's not right to claim you're not what you are, an out and out Rossi boy. It's time you came out of that closet buddy...

Ok show everyone where I said Pedrosa was my favorite for starters, go on...
How many people write dissertations about Dani????
What I have repeatedly said is that I dislike all the crap that goes on in just about every thread because of an incident last year, I have not defended the incident whatsoever.
I admit I like Rossi but hey , why is my dog called Dani? Because I'm a fan of him too, tell you what, start a thread about him and write a load of ..... about him and then I'll be discrediting that too.
Look elsewhere on the net and this forum looks awfully biased, I'm just trying to balance it out. Wasting my time in reality.

Well to be fair, you are ontributing to that. If you really didn't like it why comment or post to defend Rossi? If you said nothing or ignored it then it would most likely go away.

I disagree. Yes Rossi is probably the most discussed topic on this forum, but then he is on most others, just to the other extreme.

If you go back to 2006 when I first saw this forum it was a much different story, still fans of one versus fans of another but not much hatred at all.

As a new member to the forum I have to say that endless pages of this row and more particularly the tone of it is very off-putting.

I hear you Cruel, but since the first time I found this place to this day I continue to say thank God, Budda, .... thank all the gods for powerslide aka motogforum. And that doesn't mean I always 'like' what I read on here, but like many I suspect I feel compelled to read it anyway and post opinions which mean .... all in the grand scheme of things.

Given what is prevalent everywhere else some of us like to see this forum as providing balance.

I can understand the fair minded being annoyed by VR's entire career achievements being disrespected, but imo neither Daniboy nor anyone else has provided any argument against the prevailing view on here in regard to events late season last year, or the treatment of Rossi's rivals over most of the course of his premier class career, in which imo the events of last season prove him to be a more than willing participant. If fans of Rossi don't like him being called to account on this very tiny corner of the internet, tough.

Not much hatred of Rossi then, true.

Fans of Nicky Hayden's, or of Tony Elias if there are any, or of Casey Stoner's the following year, might beg to differ in regard to other riders, although it was perhaps more denigration in Hayden's case rather than the outright vilification Stoner copped.

Other forums that discuss motorcycle is Rossi this Rossi that, goat this goat that, that his .... doesn't stink, especially crash.net, full of yellow brigade. I am glad this forum is different. Why be here if it's wasting your time?

Because I want to, doesn't mean I'll stop trying.

Keep the insults coming, they only serve to prove the type of person you are.

Moral outrage but not much in the way of actual arguments in defense of Rossi. Being sick of criticism of Rossi is not the same as refuting said criticism.

Your argument that latter day criticism of Rossi is the problem and that there was no hatred of Biaggi, Gibernau, Hayden (to a lesser extent), Elias, Stoner and now MM and Lorenzo is particularly laughable.

Funnily enough, the people that complain about Rossi belittling other riders resort to the same ethos on here, kettle pot black again.

I've never once ridden a 500 2 stroke on the road with a blow up doll of Rossi's girlfriend on the back....

Again, a straw man argument that has nothing to do with the topic.

You're belittled because you make consistently stupid comments that have no factual basis behind them, or are easily disproven.

Once you understand that and stop trying to maintain tenuous positions in an effort to try and present yourself as some voice of reason --that you most certainly are not-- you'd find things to be a lot different. For as long as you insist on making indefensible posts, I will continue to use all sorts of adjectives to describe them, as well as you.

False moral equivalence again. Rossi defaming multiple title winning riders to the world at large is hardly the same as a few people disagreeing with you on here.

How is like for like false? Not worth a billion words I'll grant but yes belittling, not just disagreeing like you are trying to dress it up like.
