Aprilia has been hot and cold, never really know how to predict how they are going to do. Ogura had a good weekend at the first GP, but will he be able to keep it up on a bike that lacks consistency? Yamaha has slowly and consistently improved, and I think they will surpass Aprilia by the end of the season.

I can get on board this prediction. I have one, KTM will be the worst bike on the grid by seasons end. Unless Honda chooses to sit on their hands again this season.

I am not going to bet against KTM because their company is in financial trouble. They still have some good riders, as well as good engineers and race techs, and most importantly they want to win. Nothing from Honda the last couple seasons makes me think that they want to get back to winning races.

No argument from me there. But KTM is not doing any updating correct? They do have the better riders and a great support team but the bike is as good as it is going to get right now. Honda, who knows. Maybe they will update things maybe not. But they seem to be at a better starting point than they have in years.

I'll bet against KTM precisely because they are in financial trouble.

Not being able to develop the bike in this day and age is cutting your own throat. Sure they may finally be able to do upgrades and the like, but their engine is frozen. So if they got that wrong, it won't much matter in my opinion.

Question is how good are their riders outside of Acosta and Binder? No offense to The Beast but he didn't exactly show much on the Ducati, and Mav is well what you're going to get with him.

I dont believe that they are not developing the bike. They have engineers on staff, they have drafting software, 3D printers, CNC machines, and raw materials. They have the ability to design and produce parts and components at a cost of nothing. If Pedro wants different rear sets, then one of the engineers can draft them up and punch them out on the CNC machine.

Anyway, if Pecco doesn't claw back to at least 2nd in the next 2 races, his chances to win the championship will be seriously jeopardized IMO. Now we know Alex is on an inferior bike. Not by much, but inferior nonetheless.

Marc and Pecco are so close that I'd rather not choose but if I was forced to I'll go Marc.

And after all this speculation where we are largely making the same prediction, someone out of the blue like Morbidelli takes it
