Indeed. I come to each weekend wondering who will be victorious and yet, it's not the mysterious lottery of a season that it was last year. The pecking order is quite stable but just with quite a few contenders for the big prize.
I think FQ will be there again. He has the hammer down. He is looking VERY fit, confident and he's quick! He says he loves the track and the Yamaha goes well there. Maverick?? Who knows??

Woukd rather like to ser MM avoiding that stupid behavior of holding onto a tow like that could give him a title.
On the other end he hates and always made his games to not tow anyone around.
1 year injured clearly is a hard thing, hopefully that injury Will not be the doom of MM.
Still, i hope he can regain his fitness and rise to fight again.
Quartararo needs strong hoponents or he may dominate several years like MM did.
MotoGP insane level would be having 8 riders fighting for the Championship and not simply having Race wins.
MM has pretty much never complained about anything his opponents do on track to my knowledge.
Stoner certainly complained strongly about towing, but I don't recall him ever seeking tows himself, and he was completely relaxed about other riders on his team having his data. Perhaps a fan boy opinion, but I think he was mainly irked while riding the Ducati, when as Valentino and JB actually said his method of getting the pig through the corner involved taking it to the verge of crashing, so perhaps understandable he didn't want another rider close to him when on a fast lap in practice/working out where that verge was. He was absolutely correct about his more major complaint, riders dawdling on the racing line, but perhaps could have prosecuted his case differently.
Lorenzo pretty much made a joke about it like Jack, his crew had a tow truck pit board to warn Jorge when Hector Barbera was around.

If MM gets back to something like his former physical condition and Honda have concessions it might be a rather boring season in 2022.
I think MM will still get podiums and possibly wins if his health improves over this season, and he has actually said he anticipates podiums later in the season. If he remains hampered then Honda well and truly will need those concessions.

Marc has not proven himself prescient in his ability to self diagnose. So many ifs...
I have always thought prior to the humeral fracture that his shoulder problems would be what would limit his career.
The humeral fracture should eventually heal fully, and he should be able to get his arm strength back eventually if (another one) there were no significant tendon or muscle problems associated with the fracture. If (yet again) he has chronic muscle or tendon problems his career is indeed threatened.

The Great Honda. The idea that anyone would even jokingly moot the idea of concessions for them is like something out a Moliere play. They just need to get their head’s out of their collective ... and make a rideable bike. Tho knowing them, they’ll threaten to leave the sport in order to have some massive change in the rules that will best suit them.

Darth Puig dispensed with DP in very short order, perhaps to pay him back for dropping him as his manager prior to Puig's ascension to his current role.
Not Puig's best move ever.

I felt the same about FQ. Like riders being allowed to ride when not adequately recovered from injuries, we see another situation where FQ is allowed to ride multiple laps at full speed with his leathers open and his chest plate off. This should have been an immediate black flag. Although we know it isn't safe out there, there are safety regulations (both sporting and technical) to make riders as safe as possible.
Olivier rode a hell of a race. Hats off to him. A great ride from Zarco as well.
Honda's situation reminds me of McLaren when they were blaming Honda power units for their lack of performance. It was not until they switched power unit suppliers that their other problems became clear. Honda seems to have been pinning all their hopes etc. on MM's return. Now that he has returned, the extent of their issues which have been largely neglected, are now in sharp focus. It's becoming more and more clear that it's not MM's lack of fitness that is responsible for his poor results race after race.
