Yamaha wants Rossi selling bikes in 20 years' time. That means not losing him to Suzuki in 2015.

For Suzuki that means not leaving Rossi and his golden eggs to Yamaha; especially after they designed a clone of his beloved M1, hired his right-hand man as manager and rescheduled their comeback to the end of his current contract. Add to that Valentino's casual remark at Mugello, that he finds the Suzuki really beautiful... And you can understand even the smokescreen "fight" with Brivio.
That doesn't mean Yamaha cannot keep Valentino, but they'll have to really want him (much more than in 2010).
