I don't think he's a big fan of racing in the US, IIRC years ago at the Villopoto clinic...err I mean 2007 Des Nations at Budds Creek, there was a lot of signage making fun of him.  It's too bad, I believe Cairoli could fight for podium finishes in the AMA outdoor series.
 
High Point, anyone had a chance to watch it yet?   Opinions on RV's pass on RD in the 2nd moto, dirty or just racing?

First of all, go Dungey.  Second, Ryan Villopoto is simply amazing.  Actually, I'm gonna say, the top 6-8 riders are freaks of nature.  I am alway so impressed with MX racers, and really they are something special above and beyond other forms of motorsport.

I can't see even the slightest bit of dirty in RV's pass on RD. both in different ruts and no contact. What did you see?
 
MA, a lot was made of the pass (mostly Dungey fans) that if unsuccesful it could have taken Dungey out.  I don't see it that way, I'm more of an old school racer where passing like that was the norm, not the exception.  Villopoto is on a mission to secure another championship, that means you don't have time to be nice or wait for your competition to make a mistake.


If you recall at the beginning of the SX season there was all sorts of speculation on how the veterans of the 450 class would deal with Barcia because of his aggressive nature.  Nothing ever happened because the young lad is learning the in's and out's of racing a bigger bike this year.  However, as the season progresses I see Barcia becoming more comfortable, once he's comfortable running Dungey and Villopoto's race pace, look for "Bam Bam" to come out and butt hurt the veterans of the 450 class.

They are definitely a cut above the rest of the humans!


Des Nations will be about who comes second.


I think RC will not hold his GOAT title for very long. RV will be the new GOAT within a few years.

Finally dvr picked it up. Good races, both of them. Some gnarly crashes.
 
My DVR took a dump but got a new one. Caught up. Last round was great. Good battles. RV crash was bad but no damage to his title. RD is consistent as usual but had issues. JS finally managed to win a moto but it took a crash and mechanical to do it. Nonetheless he had to get by Bautista and Canard. So props.


Regarding Alessi gate. I honestly feel bad for Mike. His dad is a piece of ..... I knew this watching the show where they followed him. I remind u guys of my previous comments, this kids dad is a snake and just ruined his sons future. I knew he would .... his son when he was more concerned with results than his own kids health. U could see it when Mike would crash and his dad was pissed rather than initial concern to his kids well being. I know fathers whos kids race. When they crash all they care about is their kid's health. If they are fine they are happy. ....... Sr Alessi is a typical ...... father who bully their kids. Its over.

KTM or Kawasaki . I dont think Honda here. So Roczen or Musquin or Baggett! Who knows ? :lol:
