i think its more a case of honda having to offer that bike to simonchelli to entice him to sign the contract. melandri was going to take whatever he could get and thats how it seems to have shaken out.

The new Tech 3 paint scheme is really haphazard. From the knee-position
to the tail it kind of looks like a throw-back to '80s street bikes. Mayhaps
it's not a finalized version.

He is also on the Yamaha satellite, a very good and easy to ride bike.
And as any astute observer of the sport will tell you, it only takes four full weekends, three of which on a different motorcycle than what he's riding now, over two seasons, to get within .8 of Casey Stoner.

Keep making the excuses. While you work on that, Spies is going to work on closing down the aliens.

Sorry you're wrong: Melandri is on Fact spec, Simon is on sat spec.

They were obviously a mistake-time shocks Moto 2 in Valencia. By mistake had been shown, however, the timing of Colin Edwards and Randy De Puniet.
So: Moto2 cannot do 1.33.xxx

Where did you get that information? I haven't read anything confirming anything regarding who will get the factory equipment. Melandri at one point said he would be on the satellite bike but that was more than a month ago. And judging by the pictures from today, Simoncelli appears to be on the factory spec bike, or he at least has factory spec bodywork on his bike while Melandri is riding a bike with the satellite bodywork.

I have a hard time believing they would switch the bodywork around on the two bikes just for laughs.

From crash or autosport, i do not remember. An article about the Tech 3 decision: Simon or Melandri will have Fact spec. Then, finally, Melandri got it.

Edit:

Just used Google: I got this page from motogpmatters:

I'm sure at the time of the deal i read that Melandri would get the factory spec bike. I've certainly never seen anything suggesting Simoncelli would get it. But the pictures seem to suggest the opposite. I guess it could go either way between now and practice at Qatar

Couldn't agree more. Can't they put some more effort into it? It just looks 80's tacky cheese-ball, like a 7th grader picked out the livery

Go ask Jumkie, he's an expert when it comes to this kind of topic.

I think it's pretty safe to say the Scot Honda is a piece of crap and it's not just the riders. Hope it doesn't ruin Aoyama's chance to show what he can do in Motogp.

Héctor's number and design is a sneaky way to get another sponsor, the 40 Principales radio station.

I have no idea why the logo of the radio station is rainbow coloured, it's a normal pop style radio station, I don't think the colour is gay related, the station is owned by a clearly left wing media empire, and left weing are very pro gay in Spain but maybe that's a bit far fetched connection.

The idea has been copied by some 125cc rider who wears a green #6 which is the logo of a Spanish TV station called La sexta (the sixth).

Yeah, I was just wondering about that. It seems to be way behind all the other Honda's.

That's funny cause in 2008 Dovi finished 5th on that Honda and looked a lot better on it that he does on the Repsol.

is there any footage about yet???

curious to hear the new sound of the ducati

Ducati bikes has always been known to sound ......, I don't see a change anytime soon.

Aoyama went on to say, “We decided not to put any control on the acceleration, for spinning, engine braking or wheelies, so it was all manual. It meant it was a bit difficult to ride, but it was fun and it was nice to slide on the corners. Tomorrow we might put some control on the bike.”

Atleast an explanation, hope he'll be allot faster in the following tests.

Also hoping Suzuki can make some real progress this winter.
