<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>I think Kallio's bike broke down or he missed a gear, because Lorenzo got to him so quick he almost smashed right into him.
That might have happened, but Lorenzo couldn't avoid him because of the moment he had, he came out of the seat and came back and Kallio was just.... there. Not Lorenzo's fault the second time.

That's what my first reaction was. The finnish commentators (they're not as good as tobe/jules/randy) were going on about Kallio not being able to continue cause the exhaust came off...

Yeah second time wasn't his fault. Either Kallio or the bike.... my idea was could the first contact have caused a problem - hence my anger at Lollipop

Eventhough Jorge didn't win, he still rode a great race!!
He had chances to win the race, considering he started from 20th position, it was a great ride from the Spaniard. I don't think we should blame one of the riders for that incident. IMO it was a racing incident, these things can happen.

Bautista, what a boy!!!!!!!!! perfect ride and double perfect last lap
<

... poor Pasini, i dont think he's ever going to win is he?!
<

well the smaller classes were brilliant today! only got to see the last 8 laps of the 125s. great draft pass by faubel. the 250s were brilliant! gotta give it up for JL from 20th to the front. hair raising move by AV to get the win but thats racing & was just a hard move. a bitter pill to swallow but i think lorenzo can accept it. after all how many times have we seen him make moves like that! all i got to say is they better bring these guys to at least indy if it happens!!!

2 great races!

125s was great with 10 riders battling it out for the lead. I hoped Smith would do better.

250s was probably even better. Dovi didnt have a chance. Barbara was riding fast for a while but then ran wide off track for a second and never recovered. Action packed race for Lorenzo, 20th on grid, 2 contacts with Kallio then taken off by Bautista on the last lap! Why was De Angelis so pissed off with Bautista part way through? Good win for Bautista in the end though. No Lorenzo's land today!

Good 125 race, pasini went backwards at the end, but BS held on for 8th which is not too shabby.

250 race was a scorcher, Lozzy rode like a man possessed.

The DeAngelis waving at Bautista incident I was guessing, he was saying to his teamate let me through as I am faster, lets go get Lozzy something like that.

Barbera had a good ride but was unlucky when he run wide.

Dovi hung in there but the Honda lacks in straight line speed on that track.

Special mention to Roberta Locatelli who was hanging in 14th for a while before finishing the race in 18th. Not bad for a first race after that horrific crash and injuries.

A MSMA meeting was held after the Italian GP the issue of the future of the 250cc category was discussed but no agreement was reached.

Honda wanted to introduce the 4strokes sooner (2009) but Piaggio (Aprilia+Derbi+Gilera) and KTM refused. They will stick to the 2011 date agreed before.

Honda said they might not be around then in 2009 2010 ...

no surprise really.

honda need some sort of rule change as their bikes simply aint good enough to win the championship or even take regular race wins in the lower classes. Dovi is good but he cant beat Lorenzo when their bikes are so unevenly matched.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (stop_killing_dead_things @ Apr 24 2007, 12:38 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>so he's stupid because his bike broke down 3 times????? Pasini is NOT an .....!
<
its not his fault his bike seems to be throwing a tantrum every meeting! his bike was fine in jerez because he jumped on the no. 2 machine. the reason he knocked smith off was because he was trying to pass 3/4 of the field before the first turn. his bike wasnt the problem at first.

You don't like Lorenzo, I don't like Pasini. He never even said sorry for Bradley for knocking him off, unlike Dani and Nicky. Bradley could have done really well that race, but Pasini took him off before he even had the chance to show it
<
And he is an ..... because he can't accept that his bike is failing. He has to knock another rider off before he can realise
<
It's not his bike having the temper tantrums.. it's him

1. no i dont like lorenzo, thats no secret, but i dont see what that has to do with pasini?

2. pasini may have said sorry but we just didnt find out. if he didnt then yes, i agree, that was out of order and he should have done. and dani had no choice but to say sorry anyway, he would have been killed by nicky, honda and the press if he didnt.

3. thats exactly the point, smith COULD have done well, just like pasini COULD have done well if his bike didnt keep breaking down. you cant say 'could' or 'what if' in motogp, it doesnt work that way - what happens happens.

4. i repeat, he is not an ...... none of the riders are idiots. and what do you mean he cant accept his bike is failing? the bike doesnt fail, it just had a mechanical... several times. the crash with bradley had nothing to do with his bike, it was his fault that he messed up his braking.

5. when have you seen pasini have a tantrum? sure he gets pissed off when his bike stops, what racer doesnt?! but he doesnt throw a tantrum, take the last time his bike stopped again (i think it was france) he just went back to the pits and hugged his mechanics, yeah such a tantrum
<
. if you want to see what a tantrum looks like, take a look at our mutual friend - or not as it would seem.

now dont take this as a dig at you, its not, i just dont think your argument has any proof to back it up thats all.

1. I don't like Pasini and you don't like Lorenzo, so it's fair for me to call Pasini an '.....' if you want to call Lorenzo a 'big head'.

2. Pasini did NOT say sorry to Bradley.

3. You can say that because I did. If you can't, then why do people say 'could Rossi take the lead in the championship off of Stoner?'

4. Some of the riders are idiots. That would be Pasini.

5. And yes he does throw a tantrum. I saw him do it.. on the tv.. broadcasted..

I watched the highlights of the 125 class yesterday and my god wasn't it exciting? I was thinking what the hell have I missed? I was in Malta when it was on and they only showed the main class there.

I didn't mean anything personally to you, it's just I needed a debate

good!

hopefully can keep it up for quali!

Lorenzo on provisional pole, Barberá 1 tenth slower, then Dovi and Bautista.
Should be a cracker of a race, Lorenzo now has bad relationship with all four.
