Arrogance: For a start the word arrogance cannot be applied here, as the mere act of applying it is indeed an act of arrogance, or at least an attempt to gain some arrogance. The fan base cannot comment on the "persona" of folk such as these riders without understanding their lives fully.

Arrogance ( that the fans percieve ) is useful as it is a way of minimising distractions ( the fans ) from the real goal they have in life. If they dropped their arrogance and started playing with their "fans" do you really believ they would be where they are?



Ego, Vanity, Arrogance ( as interpretted by the "fans" ) is something they the "fans" don't need in large amounts to compete in their everyday lives ....... but with motogp riders they need them, and there are very few of them that don't have these traits as undeserved/un-earned traits.

What some "fans" love to do is imagine that these guys are just like them, and that all they need is to go and buy some EGo, Vanity and arrogance and they would be ....... this isn't the case you have to win a few races at least first ........ then at your 6th birthday ....... . ......



PS. Oh and as proof of how some have to work at maintaining "Vanity, Ego, Arrogance" etc. just look at how many ex-GP racers "make ammends" with their former competitors

And I would argue that determination is not enough. I saw vanity and arrogance in Hayden in 06, sadly something happened to him in the break from 06 to 07 and he lost ego, vanity, arrogance .... etc ( all those qualities needed to win and keep winning ).



My take is that he got US "love media"'d ( all the "feelgood", "goody-two-shoes", "morally correct", "PC" shows that pervade the US for the "ooh ahhs" of the nation that he had to frequent during that time as a new WC ) and is now scared to show his dark side ...... which he needs.



If you want Hayden to win again .... he has to stop being "Ken" or even worse (if its got that bad ) "Barbie"



Hayden can have all the "determination" he wants ....... but where is that getting him



"Backyard Moves" are a good start at his rehabilitation

But he needs enough arrogance to go in like that with the thought that "I'll go in and knock the front wheel out from under the F%cker and get him ...... and and nothing will happen to little ole me " ........... but then not actually knock the front wheel out from him etc. etc. etc. .......... compromises ...... they are soul destroying

BM as u know, iv not particularly argued with u about much. I think many of ur opinions r ok but suffer from good expression. Some r flat wrong, but hey, we all hav a bit of that. Obviously this does not include the exchange uv had with Arabi. As that was in another class all together. But this and the post before it showcase why u get schtick.



Anyway, i really dont want to argue ur assertion that Nicky lost some determination after 06, i stopped debating Talps for saying crazy stuff, im not about to start with u. All i'll say is think about it in terms that perhaps u can understand, all i'll say is that Casey lost about the same determination as Hayden did, ZERO, considering that both their titles have been attacked. So to repeat was im sure the subject of many sleepless nights.

From my perspective it seems like people are coming back to the forum since most of the mindless boppers are gone. Most of the Rossi fans left are actually really well informed on MotoGP and contribute a huge amount to the forum which allows a good conversation to occur. Just like Talpa you will be really easy to pass over because you have set the precedent that you have nothing to say only BS to dribble.

About all the contribution i intend, gave up on using this place for motogp discussion ages ago(about 2 days after registering in fact). because hardly any discussions involving certain riders get very far anyways, not before it becomes a tedious derailage. I will simply pop up now and again to see if its all decayed further.

They obviously hang out on boards where everyone dances hand and hand in yellow daisy fields, getting high on anything Rossi. They cant believe there is a world where Rossi and his accomplishments are put under a microscope. They are like kids who have grown up their whole lives being home schooled , then go off to a huge public University, where there is dissent and everything is debated. Its quite a shock to the system
