Wow! I was getting a little worried about Spies watching the practice and qualifying times but he came through (by over a half a second!). I can't believe Haga's 10th- I wonder what happened. Anyway, hopefully Spies can get away from Rea and Fabreeze in the races before they can take him out.

Know what you mean. For me it's like when yer absent-mindedly flippin' through the cable
stations and you find the screen is filled with images from The Surgery Channel; some doctor
with a scalpel in his hand, doing a vasectomy under very bright lights,
and the the jaw tightens up so all the lower teeth show and the 'ol sack kinda squinches up real sharp. Can't wait.

uhuh...

Phillip Island he qualified 14th, after the first corner he was 2nd.

Final QP session saw Haga slightly ahead of Spies. They were 5th and 6th respectively. I don't think Haga is in trouble at all, I think he is trying to avoid doing something stupid leading into the race.

This is going to be a close one. I can't watch.

Defnitely and their race pace is around even. Even though Spies has pole I would still say advantage Haga. He has a load of Ducatis around him which may or may not help him, but it shows you that the Ducati definitely goes well here. Spies needs to be flawless.

^^^He also needs to avoid being submarined by Michel "the two wheeled hitman" Fabrizio. I am hoping the race is clean, and they get a chance to compete head to head tomorrow.

What ...... Imagine being Haga's age and having sustained as many injuries
as he has and him continually fighting at the front of the pack. You don't get
much tougher than that. Haga's got that total unflinching Bushido win it or bin it
fearlessness.

Okay it is offical i may have a heart attack or forget to breath watching this race! It has been nice talking to you

I really want Spies to win but i think Haga will be going for all he has. I am actually scared that Spies is going to come off in the first race. Seriously i don't know how they could be dealing with this pressure!

+1

I really want Ben to win WSBk at his first attempt - Sepang is an afterthought tomorrow, although I know technically that two championships could be decided in Malaysia this weekend.

Damn undeadprincess you're like everything a man dreams of. You're into motorbike racing, you're smart, articulate, and if someone get's on your wrong side......mean as hell. When are you gonna ask me out for a drink or two?

Back on topic. Someone said why I thought Haga was mentally weak.... well just look at it. It now comes down to the last race, do or die if you will, and somehow he manages NOT to be on top or near it on the time sheets as he's always been all year? Yes, he was injured, but look at how he came back and didn't miss a beat.

Sorry to say, but Ben's got this one in the bag. Haga has always been someone who tried hard, but just couldn't cut it. This year is no different.
