I think Haga will be keen to make a point in that team, but i wouldn't be surprised if Corser comes out on top this season. Hes already taken first podium and its PI this weekend so more of the same maybe in store.

Sorry guys i'm just catching up - watched race two last night. Very enjoyable three races. Just reading through this thread slowly.

Sofu is a definite title contender
in my view. Always looked to be one of the quickest at end of last
season. I'm also rooting for him in the class (other than Kallio
and any brits that turn up)

Superbike's going to be great this year- bayliss, toseland, haga
and corser all in with a chance. I'm personally supporting
fabrizio!

Was great that j t held on to thrash max. Sets it up beautifully
for p i when surely bayliss will be back. He did pick up a couple
of places fighting in race 2 tho.

Disclaimer: If somebody said the same thing, forgive me; I'm too lazy to read the entire thread.

Ok, I had to wait several f...ing days to get back on this site because my "motorsport" channel that calls itself "Speed" waits until Tuesday to play the WSBK races. So I've had to stay away cuz I Tvod the damn thing and didn't want anybody to spoil the results. Yes people, only those of us living in the US can understand this ....... frustration. You people who live in Europe have no ....... clue how lucky you are to get the coverage you get.

Anyway, now that I have vented....

What a great set of races! I'm very glad to see Biaggi come out on top. Oh man, did he sound like a nice human being during the interview to boot. Maybe all the Max haters will eventually be won over (yeah right, and peace in the middle-.......-east). I always felt he got a bad wrap cuz he had the audacity to challenge the beloved son Rossi.

He really mixed it up with Toseland both races and was happy to see neither of them back down. Seeing the race reminded me of why I like WSBK so much. It was also nice to see all the manufactures represented at the front (for a while at least). I'm glad that the other brands are starting to legitimize the series instead of becoming a Ducati cup.

What a beautiful track too. Is it me or does it look like there are zero spectators? Man, I wouldn't mind going to see a race there, hell front row for everybody. It even looks like they had to fly in the umbrella girls, eh?

Where the hell was Bayliss? Thought he would be in the top three. I hope Max shows well at the Island and continues to do well the rest of the season.

However fortunately i could get a finnish sports channel with my computer and watch it on tuesday. So i can understand your frustrations to some point - didn't avoid the forum though. Just sbk threads - if people only talk about results in the designated spoiler thread then there's no worries

What interviews? Didn't get any on coverage i watched...

I picked up on this, it was so nice to see max happy and relaxed again, quite refreshing after some of his gp antics. But like you say, the media had a hand in that. Hes won me back as a fan already even though i said i never really missed him last year, well done max.

Yes i remember very well saying he was talanted and making progress. Baldylocks in particular insisted he was "....". It looks good so far, running top Ducati and taking a podium at a circuit they don't get on with. Fair play.

It was an MV indeed. Can't remember the team or rider name but i don't think they have piles of money and the project is very new. So far its gone very slowly, but hopefully things can pick up.

well got to finally see rd1 of wsbk. thanks to my wife for getting me tivo for christmas. some good racing from jt, mad max, & even the yamies of haga & corser during the 1st part of the races. looks like ducati are in a bit of trouble. baylistic was no where even getting bested by his teamate. i'm sure he'll pick the pace up quite a bit at pi. oh well... role on.....
