His expression at sepang was priceless... Definitely worth another look.

Sent from my suppository Phone using gravity waves

He looked like he had a very large nugget wedged between his cheeks. When he took that sharp intake of breath "Oooh"... That was priceless LOL

My heart says Lorenzo, My head is saying it can't decide between him and Marquez. I think it's going to be very close.

I'm guessing you're a LorenzoBopper? Boop-Oop-a-Doop??

I'm a Lorenzo fan yes. But do you see me defending him to the ends of the earth like you do with Rossi? No, therefore I'm not a bopper. Try harder kid.

I can't really explain my obsession with Rossi, but I do admit I have one.

Marquez for the title this year for me.

Agreed mate, Lorenzo's not going to get full support from Yamaha now he's signed for Ducati and Rossi doesn't have the pace to beat Marquez over the full season.

Ye of little faith. things can change and often do. Life is so unpredictable.

Considering that Valentino beat him in 2014, that he only won the 2015 title on favours, that Valentino seems to be getting faster every season since he rejoined Yamaha, and that Marquez is leading on a bike that can only get better... I don't think it's very likely Lorenzo will win this year. I'd say 50% chance Marquez wins, 30% Valentino, 20% Lorenzo.

Favours?

Since I sense the predictable conspiracists vs denialists division here, as a new member, I feel like I'll have to write my opinion on the matter on a relevant thread at some point. Just so you guys know where I'm coming from and avoid taking other threads like this off-topic.

Jorge has beaten VR in 5 of the last 6 seasons, in three of which he has been world champion. That was a full stop btw.

2008: Rossi won (1-0). Lorenzo's rookie year.
2009: Rossi won (2-0).
2010: Lorenzo won (2-1). Rossi's crash gave JLo the title as he missed 4 races.
2013: Lorenzo won (2-2). First year back in Yamaha for Rossi.
2014: Rossi won (3-2).
2015: Lorenzo won (3-3) under "controversial" circumstances regardless of your version of the story.

As I said, 5:1 for total season results and 3:0 for titles in the last 6 years (EDIT and 35:9 for race wins). Google it, look up motogp.com, or whatever else you care to do, those numbers will remain.

If you want to argue Rossi was better than Jorge is now when he was 25 or 26, or even when he was 30 in 2009, that is another question and I probably wouldn't disagree, but rather unfortunately for your case that is not what you were arguing. It isn't 2009 and Rossi is actually 37 now. He may well win the race today btw, he is still remarkably good obviously.

I thought you Rossi fans were "no excuses" guys, and in particular what Rossi may or may not have done had he been at Yamaha in the years 2011 and 2012 which you conveniently ignore is irrelevant, particularly given he made a deliberate choice motivated by hubris, and I don't see much controversy in Valentino after a praiseworthy tilt at the title not being fast enough in the last races of the 2015 season to beat Lorenzo, MM and Pedrosa in most races and Iannone in one race in any case. I don't seek to and have no need to offer any extenuation to Jorge for his title loss to MM in 2013 or his defeat by Rossi in the one year out of those 6 in 2014, and won't in future if Jorge himself doesn't prosper at Ducati.
