Of all the classes, Moto3 is the best when it comes to actual racing. Lots of overtakes during the race and lots of last lap and even last corner overtakes for the win. MotoGP, while almost never as exciting racing as Moto3, is obviously the highest skill level due to the nature of the racing. So my question to you guys is 1) do you find Moto2 as boring as I do? and 2) why is it so boring?

What do you think?

Depends on the track. Thailand was not a very technical track, and the Moto3 machines and riders are very closely matched, so its hard not to have a tight race. When the series gets to more technical tracks the Moto3 field will be more spread out, and the Moto2 racing actually gets better.

I hope you’re right. But it doesn’t seem like the Moto3 field ever spreads out. There is always a pack of at least 6 fighting for the win which is what makes it such consistently great racing. And the last few years of MotoGP with the tire pressure regs have made for some incredibly dull races. Kinda reminds me of F1 on occasion. Ha! Anyway, fingers crossed you’re right!

BTW, are you in SoCal or just a movie fan?

If Moto2 is boring, please give a prediction of how the season will end, both riders and team championships.

Top five will suffice.
No thanks. Just my opinion that it’s boring compared to Moto3 and shouldn’t be. And wondering if any of you agreed. But feel free to list your top 5.

Hoping I change my mind during the season!

I'm not quite sure why Moto2 shouldn't be more boring than Moto3.

If you need to have a ranking, a given class would be more or less boring.

Myself, I find it difficult to compare what class is more boring. That would most likely be because I don't find any of the classes, in themselves, boring. I find two wheel racing to be the antithesis of boring.

I don't know how the Moto2 race in Argentina or US will pan out, not to mention the championship.

The level of competition between riders and teams, for me, would be the hallmark of an un-boring class.

You can have riders breaking away from the pack. Yet with the likes of Canet or Dixon, to name just two, it isn't a given they can hang on until the end.

I agree 2-wheel racing is the pinnacle of racing. For me the actual on track action is what makes one class better than another. And it seems the last few years Moto3 has had the most on track action. David Alonso alone made 2024 an incredible season.

In the end, I’m an addict and will continue to watch all the classes. I get up in the middle of the night to watch live in the US from the west coast!

Take care!

I mean everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I'd argue Moto2 has been the most exciting class in the last few years.
Unpredictable seasons and great wheel-to-wheel battles just like the one we saw for 3rd yesterday.
