BTW, I'm debating the motogp package. Has anybody ever tried to contact them and had success? This is the part that gets me. They'll take your money but if you have an issue, you can't get ahold of anybody for explanation or recourse.

Somtimes I base my decision on whether to puchase a product on the support you receive. If the service is ......, with no support then it's a no brainer for me.

I won't be purchasing a subscription. I don't watch enough of the FP and QP anyways. And I'll just torrent the races anyways. So long gp.com.

Dorna is not getting any money from me. Last time I paid for a season was 06. The last two years I went in 50% with a friend. We both agreed it wouldn't be worth it again.

Like jumkie mentioned, if you have an issue you'll get no response. In 06&07 it seemed to lag out every other race
<
08 was better, but not worth for what they charged.

You hit the nail on the head.

I'd easily pay to see SBK live. You'd get two races on weekends along with way better racing.

I can't stream the high res so no use in paying for it. You don't have to watch right away although there is the spoiler thing. They have there own flash player which is fine. Highlites are kind of short and not in depth. I would love to see a Randy segment before and after every race with real interviews. It works out to $5 or less a race so how can you go wrong? Go to one race and find out what that costs. You'll see the race better on camera. Oh, and no bloody commercials!!! Just 3-1/2 hours of solid back to back racing. 3 classes of racing. .... now I'm all excited...
<
And no i don't work of Dorna. They started that chat thing and no one I know used it we all just use msn.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Tremulant @ Mar 6 2009, 05:33 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>On the other hand, I'm probably going to be heading over to the Miller Motorsports park to watch the racing in person this year, so maybe that will get me hooked
<
Anyone been to a race there yet?

Yes I was at Miller last year for the WSBK/AMA weekend, awesome time. This year will be even better as WSS is coming as well, the racing in the 600 class is really exciting. Also it will be Ben Spies "home race" and if he continues the form he showed in Oz then a lot of people will be coming to see him. Most of the grandstands there have a full view of the track as it has a gradual elevation change, so you can see nearly all the passing from one vantage point. Most of the grandstands have a jumbotron screen as well out in front to watch the live TV broadcast, see times, etc. Walking the paddock and the pit walk (where you can walk right up to each garage right after the WSBK practice session) alone were worth going for me. Miller was voted best venue of the year for WSBK last year. Hope we see you there, you don't want to miss out.

+1

I'm sticking to watching whatever Speed throws at us on Sunday, and if that sucks it's torrent time of whatever someone puts up this year. BBC and hopefully Eurosport with Moody and Ryder.

Still tossing it up. I got it last year, but I'm unsure whether I want to give those cs any more of my money. But, I know come first qualifying I'll be annoyed if I don't have it.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (clarkjw @ Mar 6 2009, 10:57 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>They also have realplayer.
i got a mac as well and been watching with real player the past three seasons...no issues

Its worth it just for the live FP and QP sessions, I don't get any of that on cable. Only the GP race is 'HD' so i've just got the standard package this time. If your busting your arse you can see most of it on justintv somewhere...

In the last few years i've subscribed i've never received a reply from the site or tech support about issues i've had (when they ...... the site up with the 'new and improved layout' for instance)....

Make the most of the MotoGP experience, it might not be around for much longer...

Question for those that have subscribed in the past:

How do you not get spoiled if you are not watching live? Do you bookmark a page that is direct to the video section?

I've been considering it, but it's very doubtful I will be watching anything live. And would want to avoid seeing results and various headlines before watching the races.

I belive the workaround stoped working when the new site arrived last year. Don't know if anyone has figured that out on the new one. Personally I know where the links are and shield my eyes from the rest of the front page and klick the full race link.

LOL, my wife looked at me last like I was a fruitloop last year. I would have a magazine up against the screen of my laptop to cover everything but the link to the race video, so I wouldn't see who won. Figured I wasn't the only one.

I just did. Couldn't help myself, especially when qualifying will be better than most races.
