yup

I was thinking about it, but I'll probably just have my Brother in Law record it on DVR for me. I'd love to see all the practices and interviews and ....., but that's a lot of money

Freaking Dorna...WorldSBK knows how to build a fan base. Free video feeds!!! Do they show them live on their website though? I haven't really watched much SBK.

Yes WSBK shows it all live. Great service IMO. Same with WTCC. Both need all the viewers they can get!

Only reason I am thinking about paying the awipes at Dorna is because I lost the Eurosport feed and unless Holland gets Eurosport UK feed next year, I will most likely have to sign up just to get the 125 and 250 races live. The BBC hides them behind the red button and RTL7 (at least until now) only showed a summary. I would be tempted to sign up to the online Eurosport live feed instead if they could guarantee that I get Jules and Toby.

have you tried UPC mediabox?

we get eurosport 2 which is british eurosport I think, so we could see 125cc/250cc on there...

That price is for Hi res, the works. I'd hate to pay that price and have the season screw the pooch. What happens if Melandri elects not to ride the Kwak, Pedro sits out and 1 or 2 others get hurt?

Of course all my rational thinking will go out the window when opening weekend rolls around.

Usually, I'm all about the motogp.com subscription.

This year; however, I can't give more money to the company responsible for the swift demise of MotoGP.

3 years ago 990cc bikes were slithering all over the circuit and finishing fairing to fairing.

If we rewound the clocks to 2006 and instructed DORNA to ruin GP, I doubt they could devastate the sport the way they have.

44.95 € for me...I will pay of course. Works out to be around $74CAD which is a bargain for for 18 races and everything else you get.

Yeah, I'm more inclined to pay for the low-res, but it seems like you can hardly see anything. Is there a massive difference between the two? Like, fifty dollars worth of a difference?

Eurosport2 is the international feed that all of Europe gets with English commentary. Eurosport 1 is the national feed, in that the local office decides what you get. Quite often British Eurosport 1 would show Friday practice but Dutch Eurosport had volleyball or cycling. As the MotoGP deal is (to my knowledge) with national Eurosports only, they won't show anything on the Eurosport2 feed.
I so hope I am wrong

In terms of price, you do get quite a bit but as I have MotoGP live on my TV it is a bit double. I wish I could test ride the HD feed. I have a really fast connection but I think it is a bit arrogant of Dorna not to have a test package or example feed available. If it is ok, I may just use my telly as the monitor

You're missing the best motorcycle racing on the planet. Go to worldsbk.com and check out round one PI. Get to know the names, and you'll be hooked.

BTW, I'm debating the motogp package. Has anybody ever tried to contact them and had success? This is the part that gets me. They'll take your money but if you have an issue, you can't get ahold of anybody for explanation or recourse.

Melandri, present or not, isn't likely to have much of an effect on the racing. If you were to pick one bike on the provisional grid to label a "no chance" ride, the HAYATE would have to be the one, regardless of how you rate Melandri as a rider. I'd probably give all of the sat bikes a better shot at occasional midpack or low-podium glory. It's a bit of a stretch to expect Melandri to go from the back of the pack on a winning bike to anywhere else on the evolution of the bikes that kept him company last year.

I want a full grid as much as anyone, but grid-filling dead-end backmarkers from major manufacturers don't really interest me absent some specific reason for them to be compelling.

When Tech3 was on Dunlops, whatever widely spaced success they had was entertaining, with a bit of underdog feel and curiosity over how Guintoli might do with a "real bike". With KR at the end, they had some recent success, represented the "true privateer", and were fighting to stay in the sport.

Kwak's on the way out, Marco's a known quantity, and most of the little reasons that backmarkers might be interesting to follow are absent.

Pedro missing races would certainly be significant, primarily in the championship picture. Other than submarining Hayden I can't really think of any particularly memorable overtaking by the kid.

I was seriously considering it. What all do you get with the package and do you have to watch it live or can you watch everything later? A grudge that a lot of people had last year was with the site itself. You had to go through the motogp.com site to get to the video link and they put the spoilers on the front page. I wonder if you could favorite the video page to bypass the front page and spoilers. Is hi res like you would see it on tv or better? I heard a lot of grumblings about that package as well.

I would love to, but their video is all in Windows media format, and thus not supported by mac. I haven't yet found a free plug-in to watch wma files on a mac, and don't really have any reason to other than this. worldsbk.com is a really crappy website anyways...I wish I could re-design it for them.

The only sbk racing I've seen is on youtube. I watched the highlights from race one and two, and it looked like great stuff! I want to get into it, but the website is a huge hindrance.

On the other hand, I'm probably going to be heading over to the Miller Motorsports park to watch the racing in person this year, so maybe that will get me hooked

Anyone been to a race there yet?

Try VLC maybe?
