Me, but I'll re-gift it to Loris or Nicky, depending....

Stoner ... cuz he has the added motivation of a wife to try and keep happy

a motivation Val doesn't have

Lorenzo, Rossi or Casey....
Remember No Q tyres, so it is all down to Race pace and not a 1 lap wonder tyre...

Its gotta be Lorenzo, I think this kids gonna come of age this year and surprise a few people!

I would agree but I don't think he's adapted to the bridgestones 100% yet.

Surprisingly you could really make an argument for almost anyone on the grid this year. Of course you pick the normal favorites but just think. Edwards could be there, Dovi, Depuniet if he doesn't crash which he will anyway, Hayden could put something together that blows you away. I think the ONLY rider with no chance really is Melandri at this point. We may see something exciting this year folks so keep your fingers crossed.

Of course i'd like to see val win it...but casey, lorenzo, dovi, and maybe one of the suzuki's are all gonna be up there....maybe nicky will b close too....GO 46!

Just a quick question, and smack me in the face if it's a dumb one...Why is BMW giving away an award in a series they don't even sponsor? Or do they sponsor GP in some small way?

lorenzo or capirossi is my pick but then again i wouldnt rule out edwards on a single lap, he can put out a good one.

if stoner is quickest @ jerez then its time for the other rider's to worry

Giving away the award is sponsorship in itself.

I guess...just kind of random. They have teams in WSBK but this is their only influence in GP. It's just strange to me.

though stoner IS great. he and the 800cc duck have not been great at jerez. if hes on top, then definitely, everyone will be pretty nervous. but i will not be surprised at all if he is outside the top 3. even with dani out.

for this test, i think rossi, lorenzo, edwards, capirossi, dovi are the likely candidates.

don't forget bmw also supply the pace car & saftey car. they've been around gp for a while now.

I think it will be Rossi or Stoner,or longshot,Capirossi(He had great racepace in practices at last years raceweekend but failed with q-tires.)
To pick one i would have to say Rossi.

And they used to have the Boxer Cup.

Talking of Pace and safety cars, those X6's look even more hilarious on a large track.
