I'm one of Nicky's biggest fans going way back to his dirt tracking days. As much as it pains me to say this, he's done!...1000cc will do nothing for him. If Ducati have thier GP12 sorted at the start of 2012 his results will show, meaning more top 5's, but as the season progresses he will drop back to top 8 status. 2012's current rules package doesn't really change much except a little more torque to get off the corners and that will only help a little. No, if Nicky is to be back at the front of MotoGP again, DORNA would have to remove all electronics and fuel limits. IMO only a few riders in the current field could ride those beasts consistently.

I think it's WSBK for Nicky in 2013 on a Honda....followed a year or so later by his current team mate.

Agree.

I'd look more at lap times than places and times behind team mate. HRC getting their act together will effect places making it look worse than it actually is.

Rossi can do nothing right in the eyes of some. If he has a garage wall and wants both riders to be separate teams he is a criminal for not sharing data. If he doesn't have the wall then the team mate is just a tester

It's more of a gut thing than something quantifiable, even though he does do worse than last year going by the hard numbers too. But last season, you really got the idea that he was getting there, that he was on to something. Now, he looks just hopeless.

I don't think it has much to too with Rossi being there, much as I would like to blame him for everything that's wrong with the world.

I think results will improve, but I'm not sure he can win the fight against fuel limitations. I also am not convinced he'll go to World Superbikes. He always said grand prix was his ambition, and considering his home base is still Kentucky, my guess is when his grand prix career comes to a close, he'll head back to the States.

I think Nick keeps his base in Owensboro because he's really tight with his family. If I'm not mistaken he has an apartment or crashes in Dr. Costas spare room during the heavy part of the Euro season?

Nick is a racer and has a lot left to give to RoadRacing, I don't know he would return to race in the AMA with his brothers and steal their thunder. I only guess he would return to WSBK on a Honda because I think they want to return to prominance in that series and Nick could be the one to do it for them. Not knocking Rea, I think he can do it for Honda, but MotoGp might be calling his name soon?

One goal I think Nick might have is to complete the Grand Slam and possibly be the last to do so. For those of you not familiar with the Grand Slam see link below.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't give the mile another shot or two. And if he does do World Supers, I'd imagine it'd be at the behest of a factory (Honda or Ducati). They might be willing to pay him a reasonable sum to ride in WSBK, and I don't think anyone in the AMA can pay him what he's worth other than maybe Jordan. That's something I didn't think of in my previous post.

It's going to be hard for Hayden. The numbers ( championships/race wins) are always going to determine the number 1 position in a team, right or( as I feel ) wrong.

If Nicky could just focus on his own riding and set up, and not let the rest get to him, he's as good as anyone. Don't worry about what Pedrosa/Rossi are getting.........just ride your own race Nicky.

.........of course I know having a bike built around someone else's set up sucks........but just do your best Nicky. Despite all the issues, he's usually (as in most of the time) right within a place or two of his team-mate.

Sideways is all under the influence of traction control......unfortunately.

The rest.....I dunno........I just hope they are ridden curb to curb, and we get some good ol' battles going.

I really hope that the private teams come on strong, and the grid gets bigger.
