according to your votings and posts you guys dont think edwards achievement this year is absolutely outstanding???

Yes but we are talking about next year, everything is gonna be thrown out the window next year.

My guess is pinky cause he is so stupid he might actually believe it to be true. But it was probably gaz because he hates me.

Geez, and you accuse me of man love.

But in honesty I haven't voted until now as for me I can't differentiate between Edwards and Melandri, but for differing reasons.

For mine, CEii will likely not like his team-mate no matter who it be and will use that as motivation which with a years experience on the tyres and the best bike (Yamaha - not necessarily his M1) should make for some good results. Plus, as we say every year his career must be coming to a close so why not go out with a bang.

Melandri is different and whilst I doubted how he would recover mentally from 2008 he has shown this year that mentally he is back. This with the fact/opinion that for mine he is genuinely one of the real talents shoudl mean that back with the familiar team, with a manufacturer for whom he has achieved before should make Melandri a very serious threat. The only possible ngative may be the stories that he has helped, that he will not have the full factory bike but for me, I kinda expect him to get it.

So, barring injury I vote Melandri

And I don't hate you MDub, I actually kinda enjoy your witty posts even if I may not totally agree with the content. So here, just for you is this smiley.

My vote is for Marco too....
Not Melandri, but Marco Simoncelli!!!
<

I think Melandri is a rider with up and down's!!

Austin / Jumkie:

yeah maybe Edwards is one year older next year and in lack of the extramotivation U mentioned....but theres one point that speaks for him: he KNOWS his career comes to an end and he doesnt have to proof that much to get a seat in 2011....he just rides cause he likes it and as he said enjoys it a LOT....i think that might me enuff. hes really doin things in an " easy going" - kinda mode...

personally i think it will be very close between colin and marco (m.)

but i think ill take melandri for my manager game and if hes best rider theres a (bavarian!!!) beer on me Jumkie! you just have to come over to brno!

Not even Lorenzo is on the "same" spec bike as Rossi.

Passi, you make a good point, I had not thought about Edwards trying to finally that one win to make his career complete. Good call, he actually may be really motivated.

Thanks for the beer offer, likewise when your in Cali.

I voted yesterday but forgot to post...

Call me conservative (I got lots 'o addictions but gambling ain't one of them...) but I'm not about to bet against the consistantly best second tier rider in MGP on the Yamaha. Colie all the way. MM has proven inconsistent at best and a quitter at worst.

Laughing?? I thought they were eating. whacka whacka whacka whacka whacka.

Thanks gaz best gift ever.

I voted for Melandri because he is fast and will be back with Gresini.. He has matured a lot from back in the days and knows that he is in the top Satellite team (for Honda).

DePuniet... He is seriously underated.... The guy is fast.. Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Stoner fast...
Check the 250s. He has always been on crap machinery but in the 250s was able to seriously give those guys a run. Put him on the Tech3 and lights out..

Hell put him in Gresini and Lights out..
I am willing to put a beer on Him running better than everyone except CEII and Melandri on the crappy 2nd/3rd tier Honda he has right now. He will out pace Bautista as well...

just wanna push that thread!

what do you say NOW that youve seen bens achievements and the last 2 races of WSBK?

i def. have him on top of the list!!!

how bout U guys???

I've voted Melandri based on his exceptional performance this season, but we know marco can be hit and miss from race to race, and year to year. Colin has been very consistent throughout, but i think a rider like Melandri will get enough random big point scores to keep him above. Simoncelli is a mystery, but i expect him to be in the mix and certainly rookie of the year.

Edwards is the current best non-factory rider. If ben gets a closer to factory spec bike and help from colin I can't see him finishing behind edwards, and he is considerably cooler and more consistent than simoncelli. Podiums might be possible particularly in the american races. Melandri is the main challenger to him imo, but this depends on the quality of the gresini honda.

is there any information on the net ben gets a better bike than edwards? i heard that roumor too, but is there any source on the net?

Big Ben Spies, followed by CElll. Tech 3 will challenge Repsol Honda for for third best team.
