WOW!

according to your votings and posts you guys dont think edwards achievement this year is absolutely outstanding???

I think Melandri, although closely followed by Edwards. I don't think Spies will be up to much in his first season, just like all the other riders that come across, it's tougher that it looks!

Good thread Passi. Its tough to pick between Edwards and Melandri. I gave the edge to Melandri because he will be hungry to prove his Ducati failure was just an anomaly. Unless Toesland is there at Tech3, I think Edwards won't have the fire required, thought I admit, I may be wrong. (I'm just saying that to me it seemed that making JT and his crew chief look silly was a great motivator for Colin, that fire may be missing next year.)

Yeah but your asking about 2010 not this season. I don't see Colin doing better next season, at his age in the best of cases you stay at the level you're right now.

I forgot to mention Espargaró! I think he's gonna do great next season with the Satellite Ducati!!!

agreed, he seems to have unlocked the ducati "style" although he is only 2 races in. his performances have been exceptional for a stand-in rider. hope he gets a seat next season.

I say Edwards, just because of the Yamaha machine.

Now, we all know that the San Carlos team has 2 bikes, one factory which Elias rides and one Satellite which DeAngelis rides.

Who get which bike in 2010? that is the question

I think Melandri is the man to beat next year. Like others have already said, he is wanting to prove that his year with Ducati was a fluke. But I will also say that if Spies comes over....all bets are off.

Poor mika nobody loves me. Levi, don't be strong arming votes for him. I know you. Nobody better vote for him just to be nice thats b.s. Here I'll include a picture I found of him smiling to soften the blow.

He's had an absolutely fantastic season but next year he won't be on the 'works' M1 in that garage (although I don't know how different the machines in Tech 3 are), he'll be a year older and as the M1 is at about its peak, the satellite Hondas should be much stronger in comparison next year.

He might get some under the counter bits too lol
if SPIES comes into moto gp bet you he is on the same spec bike as rossi or lorenzo

Melandri gets my vote if Spies won't jump in. He'll just have so much more to bring to the table in regards to input with the tires, and different ideas from the Ducati, and Kawa.

Spies is the only one other than Rossi and Stoner to show us he can win over and over on new rubber and bike.

Melandri, Edwards, Kallio...

In that order I think. Edwards might beat Melandri if Yamaha is as strong as this year though.

Any one agree?

No Passi, that is NOT what people are saying. You asked about NEXT year right?

He's done a great job this year. But Melandri at Gresini has been very successful. I think he will be at the top of the leader satellites again and just edge out Edwards.

Melandri.

This year's Honda, the bike I assume will go to next year's satellite teams, lacks nothing. It's fast in a straight line and doesn't have any obvious handling issues. Looking ahead, I think Honda will cope more successfully with the asinine engine life requirements.

After that, I'd rate Edwards and Spies (assuming...) equal second.
Colin will be faster out of the gate, but I suspect Ben will finish the year very strongly.

Simoncelli is fast, but also an utter jerk. Apart from learning how to setup and ride the 800s, I think his ego will require an extended 'adjustment period.' I'm anticipating a Lorenzo-like first year.

Part of me's thinking DePuniet, but I voted Marco cos I'd love to see him up the sharp end again.

Alright who the .... vote for the caveman? Cause you were either a. ....... with me or b. levi didnt heed my advice and gave him a pity vote. Speak up who ever you are or face the guns. My guess is pinky cause he is so stupid he might actually believe it to be true. But it was probably gaz because he hates me.

Toseland was already fast on a Yamaha, it's the tires that are causing him so much trouble. I don't think Honda would help him unless it manages to cure his psychosomatic ailments.

I want Spies to be the fastest, but I have a feeling that Gresini are going to be getting far more support from Honda than Tech 3 get from Yamaha.

I agree. Colin seemed to make it his life's mission this year to piss off JT just as much as JT pissed him off due to the Chief Crewgate. When things were still peachy between them, Colin's performance was much more...subdued?

Psychosomatic? I don't think it has much to do with JT's lack of notable results this year, what he really should do is to reduce, if not cut off, the band and music and all the unnecessary PR crap he does and just focus on riding his darn bike.
