I am not questioning his skill and accomplishments. He was and probably is the best out there. I am just suggesting that he stop whining and start riding.

I have to agree on that one. His whining was getting on my last nerve this season. Last season he was gracious so it almost annoyed me that Hayden won the championship, but this season his incessant bitching made me root for Stoner more than intended.

then he should stop whining and just do that again.. He brought it upon himself by signing a 2 years contract with Yamaha. He is not stuck with thim for one more year.

Has he forgotten, that they paid him a ton of money. Allowed him to bring his team with him. Also, he has been wnning championships on Michelin for years. If he has problems with his equipment (and I agree that he does), he has all the right to complain to the manufacturers -- PRIVATELY. If he does so in public, what end does that achieve other than making him seem like a whiner?

Riders sometimes forget where there paycheck comes from.
Off-track some statements are just ridiculous.
Let the riding to the talking..........

i just assumed you were talking about guitars again, there was lots of words i didn't understand.

Anyway i agree rossi proved that he was capable of winning on inferior machinary and that he could develop a bike into the best machine without the almighty honda. however he no longer has the riding advantage he used to and now like any other rider, he needs everything to be in place to get the results. That wouldn't be a problem if there was some acknowledgement that it isn't 2004 and that his competitors have caught up, rather than "yamaha this michelin that, TC this, toni elias that" and so on

To be fair to Vale he has been more than gracious about Casey this year. He must be totally frustrated to be in this situation Tom, and if he wants his bike and tyres to be better, then fair enough, it's his ... on the line on a Sunday. Like I say, he's got his Bridgestones, now he's gotta show us he can ride them. Time to put his money where his mouth is. It's gonna be a big year for him, personally I hope it pays off.

Please don't mention Scud in posts, I'd prefer to forget about him during the off season!

It's not just Rossi that wants the rules changed.. He has Dorna holding his back pocket remember..
<
They need their boy winning and they'll demand the changes to make that happen.. It's for TV ratings people, TV...

If it is Dorna making the rules and Dorna wants Rossi to keep winning to keep the audience, why the hell have they changed from 990cc to 800cc and even reduced the fuel in the tank? Why have they changed the tyre rules preventing Michelin from giving Yamaha (...and Honda) 'special' tyres on Saturday nights?

There are various powers and interests at play trying to bend the rules the way they think it suits them better.

through all of my experience in roadracing, the one thing i can say with 100% certainty is that the good guys will always end up on top, regardless of bike/tire.

Yes, the top five will probably be the best five, but in which order they come at the end of the championship, well, that's not regardless of bike/tyre...

Oh and peoples Biaggi/Rossi comparisons..
<
please...

Yes we ALL know Biaggi bitched constantly and cried...and now people want to say Rossi is doing the same ........

So name me ALL the times Biaggi's bikes BLEW UP, and or his TIRES fell apart during a race....ok, go.......
Biaggi bitched about a PROVEN machine, the RC211V...the BEST GP bike ever made, hell even when he was with Yamaha the dam thing never blew up, tires never fell apart........Rossi has bitched about machines and tires we have ALL seen .... up the past 2 years.... style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/.....gif

oh is there a difference between biaggi and rossi - what was that: 500cc & Motogp WC 2001,02,03,04,05 - there is a big difference between a whiner like max and a champion who knows what he wants and needs to win like he has repeatedly done before

was wondering that myself, he is a rossi fan so i guess we just misunderstood ,satire maybe,

Anyone else got MCN this week?

Mamola was reviewing the M1 and he says its one of the best things he's ever rode.

Rossi just can't accept the fact that he's not the best rider anymore, and he never will be again.

Unlucky Rossi fans.

Well if Mamola says that, what can we hmmmm...?!

I think he's far from being capable to take any one of these beasts to the limit nowadays, so when you ride safely within the limits of the bike, surely the Yam is a hell of a bike.

Ok, ok fair point but remember he is a guy who is heavally associated with Ducati, and he was saying that the Yam is alot easier to ride than the Ducati.

I'm not saying that the Yam is better than the Duke because it isn't but it has been better than the Honda for most of the year and it still managed to win 4 races.

Next year will prove that Rossi isn't as good as he used to be though as Lorenzo is finally a teammate for Rossi that is actually half decent.

Probably right for half the people on this forum..
