BR (Before Rossi) no-one in TV outside Spain or Italy gave a sht about ratings 'cos it was lucky if they even bothered airing the races live. Rossi has changed all that so I guess Its not surprising that he makes Dorna (and countless girlies!!) go all starry-eyed

I hate you all. The only live bike races I've seen in 15 years were the crappy NBC broadcast Laguna and pre-Laguna races this year. Sucks to be a MotoGP fan in the U.S.

Yea i think Rossi gets too much stick for the tyre change when he wasn't the only one complaining.

Ratings are also important financially for Dorna... and without the finances we wouldn't be racing.

Sponsors want high ratings and the teams depend on a that revenue.

About 10 years ago I stopped using a Crate bass amp coz it was unreliable, and I couldnt get my job done properly. I went and bought a Trace Elliot which has been a great set up and more suited to me.

Does this make me a childish whinger?

If you told the entire world that you wanted to play with the inferior model to prove that you are making the differnce yourself, then got fed up of the extra challange and blamed the guitar, then yes.

u know if speed would give motogp the same coverage they gave Fnone, then we would be able to see practice, qualifying & the races all live! they ...... suck! so i have to buy a race package from motogp.com every season. this will be my 7th year doing so & the price keeps goin up & up & up...........

Keep it realistic.

That Yam is 15kph slower this year not the 5 it was in '04 and the tyres weren't a problem in '04 as all the factory teams were on Michelin. Oh, and the '04 Yam didn't blow up, whereas the '06 and '07 ones have...

Your answer therefore translates to it being basspete's fault when he can't do his job because his new amp has become unreliable...

i just assumed you were talking about guitars again, there was lots of words i didn't understand.

Anyway i agree rossi proved that he was capable of winning on inferior machinary and that he could develop a bike into the best machine without the almighty honda. however he no longer has the riding advantage he used to and now like any other rider, he needs everything to be in place to get the results. That wouldn't be a problem if there was some acknowledgement that it isn't 2004 and that his competitors have caught up, rather than "yamaha this michelin that, TC this, toni elias that" and so on

then he should stop whining and just do that again.. He brought it upon himself by signing a 2 years contract with Yamaha. He is now stuck with thim for one more year.

Has he forgotten, that they paid him a ton of money. Allowed him to bring his team with him. Also, he has been wnning championships on Michelin for years. If he has problems with his equipment (and I agree that he does), he has all the right to complain to the manufacturers -- PRIVATELY. If he does so in public, what end does that achieve other than making him seem like a whiner?

I am not questioning his skill and accomplishments. He was and probably is the best out there. I am just suggesting that he stop whining and start riding.
