Depends on where your standing on the planet as to how the word 'demand' will be taken.Some will take it as a forceful order and some will not.

To answer your question,Fabrizio has Pedro status at the moment for his bonzai move on Spies that drastically affected the championship. He has a history of riding over his head and is one of those guys you just hold your breath when he is making a move. He is also an attention whore who seems to love planting himself in others victory celebrations.

I think he started getting alot of bad reviews when in an interview he was asked about Ben Spies. His reply was that he was more impressed with the Yamaha machine. That reply didn't sit very well with American fans as you can imagine.

To be fair and this will likely get up some noses a lot of the 'hate' for Fabrizio is based on perceptions as to his riding style and skill levels.

He has unfortunately been involved in a number of incidents with high profile riders (Spies, Biaggi etc) and as such has generated some 'hate' from fans of those riders (although of late more is heard due to the incident with Spies). In may ways he is currently not really diefferent to the Pedrosa uproar when he (DP) took out Hayden during Haydens championship year as that one incident could have destroyed Haydens year, fortunately it did not but the fact it occurred upset a lot of people.

Personally I actually like Fabrizio because he is emotional, aggressive and damn frustrating to watch as he is mighty fast but at the same time you expect something to happen and often it does and at times again he involves others.

To me, he has bucketloads of talent, drive, and determination but he needs to learn to temper that somewhat and channel it correctly because at the moment his impetuosity is leading to him making mistakes and he is gaining a reputation.

So really, I am not sure he is 'hated' as such but do think that many people are concerned about him particularly when he is around their own personal favourite riders.

Your feelings are very accurate and very close to why others don't like him. If you have a chance to watch older superbike seasons Fabrizio has always had this sort of reputation. It's just of late he has improved his skills to take these antics to the top level riders. No one likes the championship to be disrupted or determined by a ...... up rider.

Prolly because there are allot of americans on this forum and Ben Spies is an american rider

Hahahaha. I'm not so much a fan in the classical sense. Well at least I wasn't while he was in the AMA, though now you ca count me a "fan". Consider that he has been: gracious, outstanding, and now forgiving, these are all attributes that people admire, whether you are American or not.

Read this Spies interview for some insight into what Spies thinks about Fabrizio.
