Yes and 10 or 11 of those wins came in 2007, so since then they are both on a similar level of inconsistency, and Dani has had more injury problems. Tom sprouting that Stoner can just get on the bike and regularly win races so based on current form (last 2 years) this is simply not the case Stoner hasn't shown he can do this any more than Dani can.......
If we want to bring up the aliens record in the premier class from go to woe, then all roads lead to Rome (or Bolonga/Tauvilla) for next year mate, which is why I was only referencing more recent form, for now the 2007 800's are about as relevant as the 2006 990's.
Lets look at really current form,
Dani 2010 2 DNf's
4 wins, 9 podiums
Stoner 2010, 3 DNf's
2 wins, 8 podiums
Actually based on this, my money would be firmly on Dani. So with facts in hand, saying that Stoner is simply going to walk in a win races for Honda over Dani, whose been there for 7 odd years now, is quite silly, even shall I say 'Bopperish'.
It like saying that VR is going to walk in and consistently win races for Ducati, as there current rider (s) aren't. And of course using your rather bias logic above, Rossi's record in the premier class..............
