I think the Sheene influence won him over in the end. In a way it`s not all that bad, I mean, Hopper worked hard on the Zook and got noticed by faster teams, why shouldn`t it work for CV. And he`s got a 2 year contract which gives him time to get used to everything and then impress. The Suzuki contract might not be a career-limiting move for Chris, providing that either the tyres and the bike improve dramatically (unlikely) or he moves to a more competitive team when he gets a chance, which he could well do, I mean, he`s not #1 at Suzuki, and he dosen`t have the same ties to the team as Hopper does.
