Toseland to take Elias's spot?

So.. let me get this straight, you think Gibernau will still be able to get the job done in 07 but you DONT think Ant West has ability of potential.. Whats goin on upstairs mate?

How about Doohan?

There are a few more Aussies around that would love the chance like Josh Brooks. And as we all know that Aussies are the best motorcycle racers in the WORLD why would you bother sticking any other nationality on it????

Judging on recent showings of the Pramac Dukes maybe JT should take the ride with D`Antin as he is not going to get a Repsol Honda ride (the only Honda worth slinging a leg over at present) just yet.

Well both Ten Kate Honda and Gresini Honda are HONDA teams... and HANNSPREE sponsor both so I can see it. However, both Honda and Ten Kate probably wouldn't be too keen on the idea... if he gets hurt is's bye bye WSBK title.

have to say i don't see jt takin this ride with the sbk title fight so close. the rcv is'nt quite up to snuff yet. also new tires new tracks massive pressure to perform. not a good idea at this time i think. he'll get his gp ride next season so concentrate on the championship at hand. pull dovizioso of that uncompetitive 250 & give him a headstart on next season.

pipedream i know...

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (ThePhorest @ Jul 1 2007, 09:36 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Alternatively, pull Kevin Schwantz out of retirement and stick him on there for a few races.

Wouldn't we all love to see that????

Sete's done for. If it weren't a Honda someone might have thought of bringing Biaggi back... LOL!

Why would James Toseland go to another MotoGP team if there's still a chance that Ten Kate starts with a motoGP team next season...

I like Ant more than most on this forum, not nearly as much as you but that's besides the point. Take the rose colored glasses off, it would be spectacular if Westy could perform on the same level as Gibbers. I would love to see it but until then I have my reservations.

Brookes isn't ready, he's still not a regular top 10 finisher in WSB. Given that it is a private effort, I just don't think he's polished enough yet. Someday he will be ready (if he makes the right career choices), just not yet.

Do you guys think there will be someone else on the second Gresini in Germany? Or will they just run one bike for a while?

i would be surprised if they dont run a wild card on it,i would think the sponsors would be a bit miffed if they only had one bike racing, the question is who.

i agree. they'll have somebody ridin around on it. remember what happened in 03 when kato (rip) got killed. kiyonari took the ride from the next round.

yup, sponsors money says RIDE or else.

they are allowed to miss one weekend due to injury but after that they need a replacement. So Laguna at the latest.

Gibers is not coming back, neither is any other retired rider.

Brooks?? Who the hell is Brooks??

Kiyonari seems a valid option, he was sub when Kato (RIP) passed away, BSB is not really that important (at least not to HRC).

McWilliams and Pitt ... what are they up to? I know Ilmor allowed them to race for other teams.

Maybe Cardoso ...

I believe Gibernau was the only Movistar Honda at Welkom, Kiyo was not entered until the Jerez round.

Correct

You are mistaken. BSB is the only place where Honda can field a fireblade on Michelins, and it is their best superbike entry in the world. HRC definitely cares

Pitt wont ride it, hes employed by Michelin for the rest of 07 .. My moneys on Kiyo, Rea or Fabrizio..

If JT doesn't do it I would think Dovi is definetely in pole position for the ride... definetely not Kiyonari (unfortunately

).

What about Kenny Roberts? He's not riding the KR at the moment...
